After this series has anyone that thought Lebron Was better than Wade changed thier minds? Look at what D-Wade has accomplished. He owned the Mavs and scored 35+ points in the 4 final games of the series and led his team to win the NBA championship. Are there still people who think that Lebron James is better than Dwyane Wade?

Wade IS the next jordan, people can finally stop labelling these young guns with outrageous expectations because wade has delivered! Amazing series. Congrats

I've always knew that and I usually hate this but i'm fine with it because Wade deserves these props and acknowlegments. But i'll just say that everyone jumps on the band-wagon. First Lebron is the best. Kobe is up 3-1 and hes MVP. Then Nash is mvp. Then Dirk. Then Hamilton is as good as Wade LOL. Then Dirk is the best. Then Avery is a better coach then Riley lol. Now Riley is the greatest coach ever. Now Wade is the best in the NBA(which he deserves). Come on now.

THIS post is not dissing Wade at all. I do think Wade is the better player, but I'm just saying this because people keep jumping on the band wagon.

Wade is better than Lebron. I used to think that Wade was sorrier than Bron, but Wade proved me wrong after watching this series. He averaged 35 ppg in this series. Wow that is amazing. Wade is the next Jordan. Good job Wade, you are better than Lebron. 3 years of experience and 1 championship. Still more to come.

Look i like both players but lebron played amazingly in the playoffs with a weaker cast. LeBron has great stats against the mavs and he would have lit them up as well.

Yes exactly. You can not say Wade is better. Bron has re-written all the record books. He's youngest to do everything. If Bron got drafted buy the Heat, there would've been a 3 peat instead of just one championship. This will all change by next year. When Bron beats the heat single handedly, were all going to start to be on 'Bron's side and I'll be right there with everybody.

LOL at lebron being able to lead the 2003-2004 heat with a slightly better cast then he has now to the finals but him not being able to even get passed the second round in his third year with a slightly worse team.[IMG] [IMG] The only reason the heat did not get to the finals last year was because of annoying injuries. Look what happened this year. Go ahead and be ignorant and jealous of Wades greatness because you know lebron wont surpass it.[IMG]

I think LeBron is a more gifted player. He has more basketball ability (by virtue of his incredible physical gifts and his feel for the game). I think Wade might be a better 1-on-1 player, and he's a better defender. In the fourth quarter of a big game, Wade is the surest thing in the league (yes, I'd even pick him over Kobe).

So, adding it all up, is Wade better than LeBron? I honestly think it's too close for there to be a definitive answer. I'll say this. There's been all sorts of ridiculous performances this year. Kobe with the scoring. LeBron with his brilliant playoff debut. But I think what Wade did against Detroit and then Dallas in back to back series tops it all. It's not like they were letting him score either. Detroit and Dallas were keying their defense on stopping Wade, but they couldn't do it. His level of play, the way he performed in the clutch, and his dignified presence through it all reminded me a lot of Hakeem Olajuwon (I think Bill Simmons drew this comparison a few weeks ago).

For me its too close but also remember that even though wade took over the series he still does have shaq on his team.

I don't know what the number say, but it looked ot me that Wade was at his best in the Finals when Shaq just got out of the way.

it's still very close, and a couple of weeks ago, I would've said Bron....but D Wade's ability to come through in the clutch is just............well it's just amazing.........all I can say is I'm lookin forward to him and Bron duking it out over the rest of their careers.

I agree....to be honest during stretches Zo was more effective than Shaq when on the floor.......he doesn't clog up the lane as much, and he plays better defense.

Please do not forget Wade got a very very good team:

    Written by steve kerr:
(Pat Riley) was right about Antoine Walker, who carried the Miami Heat in the third quarter of Game 6 when the Heat made their push past the Dallas Mavericks. He was right about Jason Williams, whose seven assists included perhaps the highlight of the game – a fastbreak, around-the-back dish to Alonzo Mourning for a dunk. He was right about James Posey, who made two huge buckets in the final minutes to help Miami maintain its lead. And he was right about Gary Payton, whose defense was a big reason for Jason Terry shooting 7-for-25 from the field.

So winning the championship is all because of TEAM EFFORT, not only because of WADE. And Miami also has the most dominant Center -> SHAQ. Congratz to Payton and Mourning, they finally get the ring.

^^^duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh.....it takes a good TEAM to win a title, but that shouldn't take away from the fact that this WAS D Wade's team

    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">And Miami also has the most dominant Center -> SHAQ.</div>

No.........Houston does....Shaq can be a factor, but he's far from "dominate" nowadays.
