it dont matter how much you pay for the seats, it doesnt gaurantee a win, how do you think the spurs fans (myself included) when we were screwd by the refs
Such a bad call at the end of Game 6, 26 secs, Dirk was called on a foul on Wade with time winding down. Wade used his arm to push off Dirk, clearly that was either an offensive foul or no foul at all because Dirk did not touch him. That was soooooo stupid, good job on securing the championship for the Heat. By the way, I'm not trying to take away anything from teh Heat, they played great, but that was a very bad call, and we should be having a game 7 tomorrow.
mavs lost because Your "superstar" DIRK did a dissapearing magician act down the strectch...and all your team did was settle for jumpshots instead of driving it to the hole and getting the foul shots..so dont complain about the attempts miami got...
This series was not lost because of the refs. You guys lost because you couldn't step up. Dirk was nonexistent throughout most of the series, including the second half of game 6. Josh Howard missed a pair of huge FTs in game 5 and Dirk missed one in game 5 as well. Josh Howard also called the timeout that cost you guys the ability to advance upcourt in game 5. Stackhouse also didn't help you guys by getting suspended in for game 5 because of his flagrant on Shaq, which I'm sure most of you didn't think was a flagrant. Beyond that, how about Jason Terry's phenomenal 7/25 in game 6, Howards 5/16, and Stacks 5/13. Yea, I'm sure that was all the officials faults, wasn't it? Oh, did I mention your 37% shooting in game 6 and your 5/22 in game 6? Or was that because of bad officiating too. Instead of blaming it on the officials why don't you look at the box scores and realise that 2/4 you shot sub 40%. Or the fact that you missed FTs in the clutch. Blame it on your players for not coming through when needed. But don't blame it on the officials, cause they're not the ones shooting sub 40% from the floor, missing key FTs, and they're also not the reason why your german superstar disappeared for most of the series with the exclusion of 1 and a half games.
Now why the hell was Dan Crawford officiating in such a crucial game 6..The league needs to do a better job in picking refs for the finals. Ken Maurer and especially Dan Crawford aren't qualified to officiate a high school game. Much less, an NBA Finals game.
You lost quit bi***ing. everyone feels ripped off when their team loses, so they try to blame something. how did the refs screw you? dirk didnt step up, too bad, quit whining. plus all this whining isnt going to give you a title. you have to earn it like the heat did. the spurs lost too, no refs did it.
here's one fan that blames it on the bad calls (videos included): http://www.ericfolkerth.com//B1082610743/C...20060621011743/

And Josh Howard was asking Avery Johnson is they should call a timeout, just signaling a "T" symbol doesn't mean your calling a timeout (literally it doesn't). And we all agree it was a flagrant on Shaq, BUT A SUSPENSION IS BULL! What about Shaqs foul on Stack, which involved Stack getting 3 stitches? What about the Heat shooting 49 free throws in Game 5!! Wade had 25 and did the Mavericks...as a team! (But Im sure the refs didnt call all those??)
OKay, i'm not even a Mavs fan, but those games were lopsided to the most extreme, just watch hte NBA.com replays of the game, wade was hardly fouled in real but got all foul calls, how can you win when the refs are against you?! that's what many other fans fail to realize, it's not sore loser talk, it was the truth. You shouldnt grin and bear it when it was totally lopsided. Seriously, for so many people to complain and talk about it on the internet just proves how lopsided it was, and for those who keep saying "suck it up, and dirk was missing anyways", dirk did hit some incredible shots, but if they keep giving wade foul calls even if wade misses the shot you aren't going to win, eventually you will lose confidence if the heat keeps getting freebies and you know that both the heat and refs are against you, you are bound to lose. I couldnt even believe watching this, I have never seen a game SOO lopsided in my life from the nba. It was like David Stern was punishing Mavs for fighting back. The heat had no cohesion, GB and AM love to complain, Alonzo thinks everyone is out to get him, but Wade and Shaq totally deserve to win. but the rest of the heat cast are just jerks plain and simple. Give credit to the Mavs for lasting that long to keep the score even close, if it was any other team they would have been down 20+ with the way the officiating was.
I don`t think the refs totally like plagued the series for the Mavs. But I`ll admit, there was alot of fishy calls.

And either way, home or away the losing team will always blame the refs or the coach. They can never blame themselves.

THe Mavericks did step up as a team, but if the refs keep making foul calls for just getting touched, 3 point plays cannot beat 2, and in the end you will have to lose. Might as well give Miami an open path to the basket to make it a 2 point play instead of 3 since if you do anything at all the refs will blow the whistle. Even if you prove that the touches weren't actually fouls, all the other people will say fouls happen all the time, live with it, you cannot win at this argument dallas fans.. no matter how rigged a game was, no one will ever agree with you that it was. Saying fouls happen all the time with 1.9 seconds left in game 5 is ludicrous. Let stars be stars and not foul in last seconds to prove how good they are in pressuring situations rather than calling fouls.
this article is pretty good about the dallas whinericks http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...ht&lid=tab2pos2
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">CALL OF THE GAME Mavericks fans will talk about this one for a long time. With Dallas trailing by one point and 26 seconds to go, Wade dribbled around a screen and clearly threw his arm out into Nowitzki's chest. Nowitzki was called for the foul, however, sending Wade to the line where he made both free throws. Had the call gone the other way, we could be talking about a Game 7. Instead, the Heat hung on for the win – and the championship. </div> http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=sk-c...=yhoo&type=lgns Steve Kerr points out that call was messed up and it most def was, I was shell shocked when I saw that. Even the announcers were like um tough break for the Mavs, but refs make bad calls sometimes, so I guess you just have to live with it. There's even non-Mav fans who saw how badly the game was called at times, so I don't know I still have a bittertaste in my mouth, it should be gone soon though... Steve Kerr is awesome, and when he says something, you know it's genuine.
Im sure you could put together a slideshow of bogus calls that went the mavs way. Like when shaq supposedly fouled daniels. The difference is the Heat management didnt cry or write blogs about every questionable call.
