The series, similar in concept to the Atlantic Coast Conference/Big Ten Challenge, would mean more television coverage for Pac-10 teams on ESPN, something Pac-10 coaches, including Olson, have longed for. "We can get home-and-home games, and UCLA can get home- and-home games,'' Olson said, referring to big, made-for-TV games. "But Oregon, Oregon State and Washington State (and the other schools) can get exposure. There's complete exposure (throughout the league).''</div> Source
That would be great, because then that means that all 6 major basketball conferences are part of a "challenge". You have the ACC and Big 10, the SEC and Big East and Pac 10/Big 12.
Too bad it's a year late, this would have been an amazing tournament last year. The Pac-10 lost so much talent this past draft Roy, Powe, Farmar, Hollins, Adams, etc.
Won't happened until next year, that would mean players like O.J. Mayo and Bill Walker if they do commit to USC. They'd be the headlines, Zona might have some talent like Budinger and Juwann McClellan, UCLA would have probably Kevin Love, Texas would have Bayless ;(.....
