You can say good-bye to Josh Smith if you're interested in Iverson and won't give up Williams.

I'd do it, Smith is overated IMO. Blocks shots and Dunks, I'll take AI and Marvin's upside.

I don't think Smith is overrated at all. He's a presence on defense. He's been in the league two years and has improved since then. He averaged 11.3 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 2.4 apg, and 2.6 bpg. He's had a game with 10 blocks in it. His perimeter game is improving and he's an athletic freak. He's 6'9 and can play either forward position. He's a special talent and could be one of the league's future stars.

^ I agree, but I think people haven't realized that Josh Smith is starting to develope more game. As a Heat fan I watched Smith in the Hawks in 8 games the past two seasons and he's really progressed, espeially his jumpshot and offensive game. He's gonna be good.

I think AI would be great for the Hawks. But it would be stupid for Philly to let him go for Josh Smith.

Atlanta has to do a lot better than Josh "One dimensional" Smith. I have to say that if they are only prepared to offer Smith and not Williams then they are wasting their time.

BTW the Hawks franchise has repeatedly been screwed over by bad management. I think their owners and their infrastructure suck. I'm sorry for all Hawks fans out there....I am truly sorry.

How is Smith one dimensional? I think any team would like to have a SF who can play PF that averages 11 PPG, 6 RPG, 2 APG, 2 BPG and is only 20 years old. How many kids come out of high school right away and make their prescence felt on the defensive end? Not a lot.

Of course it wouldn't just be for Josh Smith. It's obvious that the #5 pick will have to be included in the deal. It's going to be interesting going into draft day to see what will get done and what won't.

^ What about Iggy? Or are you gonna waste the talent of Josh Childress and sit him on the bench? Starting all 3 of them would be pointless, because I don't think Josh Smith could bang with the big boys for 82 games.

Maybe Zaza and Smith + 5th Pick and filler to make contracts work

S&T Harrington + Childress + #5 pick for AI and the 13th pick. That is my solution. The 5th pick would allow the sixers a lot of flexibility when it came to this draft and the 13 for atlanta would allow them to get more out of the trade than just AI

If I was the gm of the sixers, and i am trading iverson, i dont want ricky davis on my team. Childress and Smith are both in their early twenties and would fit the trend of rebuilding that the sixers would be conceding to if they traded iverson.

he isnt THAT old and childress has NO potential imo. ricky gives you a cheap guy that can keep you descent so your not the laughing stock of the league. with like 2 good drafts (this years and next years) they could be really good while not looking pathetic and having a few very good pieces for a solid bench. like ricky, jaric, eddie griffin, etc.
