Pierce And Ainge To Discuss Extension

Just a question that needs to be asked....

Is Pierce worth a max contract?

 

... hard to say he isnt after the overall play he demonstrated this passt year. If pierce isnt worth a max contract, than who is?


should the celtics sign him to one?

Bring Piece to LA. I dont know how, but bring him over! It would be great to have a LA native in a Laker uniform that can play ball... hehe.

On the real though, I think he is worth a max contract. There is not one else on the Celtics team who is more important than him.

Couldnt have put it better myself...

 

Calling somebody the most important player on a 33 win team isn't that great of a compliment.

 

I'm not sure if I'd give Pierce a max. He's in his prime now, and is almost 30. He turns 29 before the season starts and you'll be paying him 15+ million when he's 34. I highly doubt he'll be able to put up the numbers that he's putting up now.

Who else is there? lol. If Boston brought in someone like Amare, KG, or Bosh that could play sidekick to Paul, and they won 50 games, would that make him more important?

Boston doesnt really have any superstar besides paul and he really is the only one that people come to see. When I think of the current Celtics, I think of Paul Pierce

 

Pierce really has to consider his future here. He`s not getting any younger and if Boston doesn`t get any stronger, he should pass on the extension.

 

For sticking with this team throughout the years, he deserves $$$$$ and a good long multi year deal! We got to keep this guy in a celtic uniform! hes that good
