Very unlikely IMO that you'll get Williams at 16 and Wallace for Mihm and 51. Also, Chicago won't unload both picks for Lamar.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">There is no evidence so far that the Bulls are close to trading the No. 2 pick for a veteran, but this week is traditionally when trade offers start to arrive. With that said this trade will not happen. How are you going to sign Harrington, Banks, and Rush in free agency with just the MLE?

Very flawed. Don't have the cap room for the FA signings. Charlotte would be getting screwed up the ass, to be honest with you, in that deal. And the rumors with Chicago have been laid to rest.
this is extremely unlikely, and i think a little bit impossible. not enough cap room, and the chi town trade isnt going to happen
I really do not want to see too many moves unless there is a superstar trade involved. Lamar now has two years in the Triangle, and I think that our team will win 50 games this coming season if we can remain healthy. My biggest concern is the PG spot. We need to fill in the gap. Smush is not a starter. I would also like to see the Lakers pick up a good 6th man. So far, all the people we picked up to play the 6th man spot have been a nonfactor. Jackson, Divac, and Aaron. Hopefully this upcoming season will be different. If we can get a productive bench and remain healthy, 50 games in not out of reach at all.
Waive Jesus and put Kobe Bryant back in the starting lineup. j/k. I don't find either of those trade realistic. Honestly I think this is going to be a slow offseason for the Lakers. They need a PG and depth most of all. They can go off in free agency, but I think they're better served to draft well and bide their time. This team's overachieving and I don't think their playoff appearance is a sign that they need to go out and make themselves an instant contender. Better to slowly find the pieces to surround Kobe with and go for longevity rather than crashing and burning.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting playmaker15:</div><div class="quote_post">^^50? Dunno if their there just yet. Kobe can only do so much.</div> The Lakers could've had 50-55 wins this year if they could've closed the games out and Kobe had some consistent scoring help. 50 wins this year is by no means a reach.
Why would lakers take aldridge when they have expressed no interest in him and apparently are in love with Roy's game? this thread is stupid. also, you could never get marcus williams at the 16th, no way, he is a top ten prospect.
well we need a PF which could be aldrige and we might get williams if no body takes him, i mean look at the nfl draft
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting lakerskobe8:</div><div class="quote_post">anyone think we could get reddick or ronaldo baukman he played for my town</div> I don't think most are familiar with Balkman, how would you describe his game and what makes you feel he'd be a good fit in Los Angeles? I wouldn't mind Reddick, he's not my first choice for the Lakers to draft, but he's an upgrade to our backcourt if the Lakers land him.

Also the Lakers organization lies a lot during the draft. They will leak out a lot of disinformation this time of the year. Remember last draft, everyone pegged Gerald Green to be the Lakers target? Green was used as a smokescreen so Andrew Bynum would go under the radar.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Bobcats:</div><div class="quote_post">Chris Mihm, Smush Parker, and the 51st pick for Wallace? </div> Is that deal too good or are you making Gerald Wallace seem like he's KG.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting LO7:</div><div class="quote_post">Is that deal too good or are you making Gerald Wallace seem like he's KG.</div> It's not even close to landing Gerald Wallace. He's close to untouchable in Charlotte, and they have no need for Chris Mihm or Smush Parker. They are loaded in the frontcourt and Smush wouldn't get any playing time behind Ray Felton or Brevin Knight.
