The superstar I'd least like to play with is Stephon Marbury because he has attitude issues and a huge ego. And the superstar I'd like to play with is Magic Johnson because of his playmaking ability

Pippen, sometimes Grant--- and then who?
If Iverson and Jordan's career situations had been switched you'd be talking about " well he had Webber, AI2, Dalembert, Mutombo, Mckie, and Korver. Or an old Toronto fan would be complaining well Jordan had " Mcgrady, ADavis, .... "haha I aint gone pretend I remember who was playing on the Raptors back then. So basically you guys are comparing VC and AI to Jordan, and attributing some of Jordan?s success to his according to you ? being blessed with better teammates?. You seriously think Jordan would still get dominated these Finals if he was playing with Kidd Jefferson Krystic and whoever else?

    >>That he wouldnt make the playoffs or have a decent team having played with: an old yet obviously still productive Chris Webber(as opposed to Grant). One of the most athletic and potential budding talents in AI2(rather Kukoc ), a taller more versatile better potential player and possibly better shooter than Paxon or Kerr were in Korver? An young athletic juggernaut set on playing monster defense and appeasing his teammates in Dalembert( as apposed to Longely) A player already regarded as a defensive marvel an strong finisher in Ratliff( rather than Carthwright or Wenningiton)? A player whos cemented himself as one of the greatest defenders in history as a 5 time DPOY with Mutombo(rather Bison Dele or Will Purdue)? A solid ball controlling veteran guard who can always counted on to provide solid defense at the PG in Snow or Mckie for that matter(rather than Armstrong, Kerr) You serious?

You seriously think Iverson or Carter would be playing much better and possibly winning championships playing with Horace Grant, Bill Cartwright, Longley, Armstrong, Kerr, Kukoc, Randy Brown, Bwilliams, ---- Pippen was fantastic; he may or may not have turned out who he was without Jordan. Assuming he did, he?s obviously no more talented than Mcgrady, possibly no more than Iguodala early in their careers. Rodman was an all time great rebounder--- yet I?m sure adding him to Iverson?s squad with noone else would just make for another good performer that you guys would be unhappy with.

Great post, and an excellent point. It makes Mj look even more like a genius.

Of all the people in the world, players like Jud Buchelor (do many of you remember him? thought so), Randy Brown, Scott Burell would come off the bench for Chicago.

AI takes a lot of shots but he did average about 8 assists last season which is pretty good so give him some credit. Kobe on the other hand only averaged about 3 points better than AI (Kobe-35, AI-32) and didnt have close to the number of assists as AI. Im not just saying this cause im a kings fan and i hate the lakers its true that Kobe makes everyone's job easier on the team cause he hits his shots. But if he has to take 40 shots a game obviesly theres a problem there. AI lately hasnt been given enough credit mabey cause he didnt make the playoffs. But if him and CWebb has to do all the offense and there defense sucks theres a problem there.......As fare as who i want to play with obviesly Steve Nash because he makes plays for other people. Just look what he did to Boris Diaw.

I wouldn't want to play with Larry Bird (or Shaq post Magic), I just never liked Bird and I HATED that Lakers team.

I would want to play with MJ. I don't care about scoring that much and being on teh same team with his Airness would just be awesome, not to mention all those rings. Actually I would have loved to be on Webber's team, a passing big man with his skill when he was younger, the guy in his prime was one of the most talented players. Webber is awesome.

Why? Bird was a dirty player and I didn't like his style, his shots that always go in. I would not have liked to be on that Celtics team with him, all they did was win...sometimes you just don't like the way teams and their stars play, they were one of the best teams ever with one of the greatest players, but I'm just not a Bird fan and never will be.

It would have been sweet to be on the Kings team with Webber. They're one of my fave teams of all-time, so up tempo and just fun stuff. Webber and Divac were AWESOME passers, always found those cutters. Just watching Webber and his smile that lit Arco Arena up.

I would just want to play with one of my fave players of all-time, winning isn't everything. Honestly don't know what's not to get, since it's really just an opinion thing, but whatever.

You referred to Chris Webber's passing in your post as why you'd like to play with him. Makes sense ... but kind of strange you'd mention that considering Larry Bird was probably the greatest passing forward in the history of the gam,e and you just finished saying you wouldn't want to play with Larry Bird.

If you'd only want to play with your favorite players, that's fine. But generally people would like to play with great players who get their teammates involved, "make others better", make the hustle plays, and can deliver in crunch time. That basically describes Larry Bird to a tee. I think he's pretty much the ideal teammate.

That was pretty funny, too. I guess he thinks the spontaneity of Chris Webber's unreliable jumper makes the game more exciting.

i don't like to play with players who get their teammates involved, what fun is that? i mean if they get you involved, then you would have to do work and stuff...

webber's jumper was NOT unreliable, in sac he had such a sweet elbow jumper. he can still shoot okay, his hops are just gone...and he's not as UNclutch as ppl think, he hit some big shots against the lakers that pushed the series to the brink, he just never won a championship...but that doesn't make him any less great...

webber is my choice to play with (slightly behind him would be reggie miller, then michael jordan). webber just has this style that i would love to be on his team and help him get his championship. i really, really hope he wins one before he retires. the guy was so talented, arguably one of the best talents ever coming out of college.

i think J-wills kings would be so fun to play with. It would be like a pick up game all day. just running and dunking, and catching awesome passes from anyone. that would be sweet.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Swish15:</div><div class="quote_post">I would hate playing with Allen Iverson. Everyone he plays with have lower stats while on his team because he is always the main scorer and takes a lot of shots per game even since his days with Georgetown. If you looking to get a big contract, having low stats could kill your chance to have a big payday.

If I had to choose someone to play with, it would probably be Steve Nash because he always sets his teamates up for easy baskets and averages over 10 assists per game. Jason Kidd would be another player I'd love to play with. All of the unselfish point guards be my choice.</div>
AI scored but he also came 8th in assists

J-will would be fun so would KG because you could alleyoop him he could do that for you, you could do an alleyooop where he throws it up for u and you throw it back it would be amazing.

I still don't know what he is talking about....Bobcats, you understand him yet? [IMG]

The person I'd least want to play with is AI. He is too cocky, amd he is kind of a ball hog.
