So your saying that the offensive line doesnt count at all. If the offensive line didnt protect jake like he did, steve smith couldnt get those long completions. Ken Lucas had a big a game as Steve Smith. He was all over the field batting down passes and had that huge INT at the end.

OL, didnt poor job, they were holding most of game. Jake never stayed in pocket long, just threw to spots and steve smith made plays. Lucas did more defensive holding/pass interference than i have seen since patriots corners were raping colts recievers in playoffs before mannings 49 td season

That's it. I am done with this board. Ignorance I can tolerate. Noone can know everything. Arrogance & pigheadedness I can't. The Bears win, the Panthers are knocked around on this board as being inferior, but I still congratulate their fans. The Panthers win, and immediately it is because of refs, holding/interference not being called, Steve Smith all by himself, etc. Let's not forget that Muhsin Muhammed had career numbers and led the league in receiving yards & TD's last year with Delhomme as his QB, but no way could Jake be a very good or accurate QB. If I am not mistaken, Muhammed was very underwhelming this year. It is a team game. Eleven guys on the field working together. If you have a super star at a position, you work it until it doesn't work. It doesn't mean they won the game single handedly. You dismiss teamwork with statements like that and understand less football than you think you do.

And me being done with the board has nothing to do with this thread. It is just the final straw. Someone has an opinion about refs in previous games, and "sour grapes" shows up in the thread. But now it is ok to talk about refs missing or making the wrong call. Very hypocritical, and since I doubt those who are being that way will ever care, I am out. I would rather surround myself with those who are willing to better themselves, than those who think themselves already there.

I am pretty sure i accounted the only reason for the win to steve smith, not refs / holding / etc as you claim. It was great havnig you on the board.

Steve Smith is great but it wasnt only him. Jake had a great game, and Jake has thrown to two different recievers who lead the league in back to back years. Moose could have had a great year if he stayed with Carolina, but he decided to go to Chicago where there Grossman/Orton cant get him the ball. When Jake has time, like he did against chicago, he is deserving of a pro bowl selection. And to make Jake great he had to have a great line that can block.

The panthers defense showed up, forcing key turnovers. Mike Minter made some good tackles, and the d-line limited thomas Jones running lanes.

    2. Who was the thrower...wait what position is that? hmm
    3. Who keeps the thrower safe from the Bears "crushing defense"? What are they...Linebackers thats it! Oh wait no...Something line...I forget...
