<div class="quote_poster">Quoting holyace2k2:</div><div class="quote_post">dude i was j/k, but i don't mind playing with ball hogs at all. btw after all this fuss you made about my choice, who would YOU want to play with? the dream? .</div> Larry Bird comes to mind, actually. Magic Johnson. Jason Kidd. Duncan. Garnett. It would have to be someone who's versatile, plays hard, and is very team-oriented.
I would hate to play with Iverson. Yeah he is a bit of a ball hog. He will average 7-8 assists a game but will take atleast 25 shots a game. Dont just look at the assists look at the attempts per game. Also..Philly was never a strong team ever. It is really hard to build a team around him so I would say Iverson. He is just to hard to build a team around.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TheFreshPrince:</div><div class="quote_post">^^never a strong team? yet iverson single handidly took them to the finals.</div> single-handedly??? i think they had mutombo. a defensive force. a guy who was DPOY 2 or more times.what im tryin to say is that they were never a real team like pistons or spurs where you have a decent guy at every position. eric snow.. he was never a good shooter or a good scorer. like pistons or spurs have a good player at every position. sixers never did.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TheFreshPrince:</div><div class="quote_post">That is what makes it so impressive. there were no scorers or good players besides motumbo</div> and that proves my point..they were never a real team.. only one scorer..

Why wouldnt you want to play with a guy that can take, by your definition not a real team, to the finals? He really isnt that selfish imo. Larry Brown made him that way. he surronded him with NO scorers and said go nuts. Who should he have passed the ball to?

I would play with one who take 15-17 shots and makes your team better.

Wouldnt you want a player that wills his team to victory despite not being a "real" team.

You get my point now?
Yes, but saying you cant build around him is retarded. he took a BAD team to the finals. Nash NEEDS talent to be good, iverson doesnt. I would love to play with iverson. how good do you think nash would be passing the ball to Dikembe, Tyrone Hill, George Lynch, Eric Snow, and Aaron mckie. none of those guys can even run, that team would be horrible, but substitute iverson for nash, anbd you have a finals appearance. I know i cant predict if the nash team would suck, but it sure looks like it would.

Philli never really got a good duo for Iverson..10 years? And nothing. Well..it looks like Iggy might be one. But how many more years till his prime? Webber? Too old.. Mutombo.. Too much defense..No offense.

How is it KG's fault that McHale is mentally retarded? same with iverson. if you give iversona big man he will win a championship. Heck, with motumbo he made it to the finals, and he cant even score.

They wont be successful because Iverson will take lots of shots and so would Kobe. Ok stop arguing with me and wasting my time. Everyone has different opinions. I posted mines and you posted yours. Somehow you had a problem with mines. If you think my opinion is dumb..then deal with it because like i said everyone has different opinions
i dont think your opinion is dumb, you are just not looking at all the sides of this. If you put kg with iverson, a championship would be very possible. and championships dont really mean squat. malone and stockton were easy to build around, yet never won a championship. If you give KG a great small, or AI a great big, then they will likely succeed. Obviously teams with two greats at the same position wont be very good because there is no balance.

Why didn't Tmac and Yao win a championship there first season together then?
because yao isnt even close to the same as KG. and like i said, Championships are worthless, plus they needed chemistry. and yao isnt that good. Stockton Malone never won a title, yet are considered the best combo ever by some.
