<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Rock4life:</div><div class="quote_post">Check the critics before the season and the fans of Miami. Everybody criticized Riley for getting a trigger happy Walker (who was boo'd in Miami earlier), a turnover prone JWill, a injury prone Posey, a aging Gary Payton, and most of all a washed up Alonzo Mourning. Look at where the went, got figure Ppl can label Stro what they want, but we need a new offense to get him more opportunities. Just like Riley stuck with Walker after being boo'd, we need to stick with Stro. Randolph would be perfect for us, but he was just a thought, I know it's a longshot.</div> Crtitics were criticizing the Heat at the beginning of the season because of the combustile personalities that Miami had acquired. There were doubts about whether the team could share the shots, and that problem was solved by everyone accepting their role and Shaq taking less shots. With the Rockets, you have Swift who obviously doesn't know his role. I know you're infatuated with him, and power to you, but there are times when he just drives people mad when he puts his head down and make an ugly drive to the basket, without regard to Yao or TMac. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Rock4life:</div><div class="quote_post">You seem so quick to give up on players who haven't had a chance to reach their potential. But look at Miami. Look at how many players they took a chance on.</div>Haven't had their chance? Swift had every chance to make his mark, but each and every time, his lack of a work ethic got him a spot on the bench. Sure, Allen Iverson didn't like practice, but Swift doesn't average 30 a game. As for Miami, I'm not sure why you'd make that parallel. The players they took a chance on all reached their potential before they were on the Heat.

I guess you would have been more happy with ur favorite player, Chris "Birdman" Anderson, who didn't even finish the season before getting injured But ur right, Stro didn't know his role. But that's part JVG's fault for not playin more too his strengths. When we got him, I pictured Skip throwing Stro alley's on the fast break. None of that happened........that's all JVG <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Locke:</div><div class="quote_post">Haven't had their chance? With a healthy Tmac and Yao coming back, he'll get his chance to play a more defined role with the team. We still can use his athletism and jumpin ability. and by the way, Jason Williams arguably didn't reach his potential before gettin to Miami. He was still considered outta control at times........just had to remind you

And PS: Birdman was kicked out of the league for drug violations. Just had to remind you. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Haven't had his chance to reach his potential, that's what i said. Next few the tag just stuck with him even though he finished second in assist-to-turnover ratio in the league a few years ago. He'd reached his ceiling before Miami.

He's going to be forced to change his style for the better of the team, which will be an advantage for our rookies <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Locke:</div><div class="quote_post">And PS: Birdman was kicked out of the league for drug violations. You also showed an overwhelming amount of support for David Wesley, even after he was exposed in last yr's postseason. I guess my question is why can't you show the same support for Swift? He's never been kicked out the leauge and actually played good in the playoffs for Memphis unlike Wesley did for us.
Umm, Swift averaged below his career numbers in 7 games in the playoffs for the Grizzlies. Surely 7 and 5 isn't good? If it is, then Swift was a great contributor for us this year with 9 and 4. As for Wesley, we've been through this numerous times before. I think he played up to par, you don't. Let's leave that topic at that and agree to disagree. JVG has been beaten to death too.

His praises come from defense, but his criticism comes from his lack of offense and his obsession with washed up Knicks. Mark Jackson, Rod Strickland, Clarence Weatherspoon & Charlie Ward should have never been allowed to wear a Rockets uniform. Those are times you give a young player minutes, not some 40yrs old bench warmer. I give coach to midseason, if he doesn't come thru we be should calling Rick Adelman up.
He may not be the most decorated offensive coach of all time but he is solid in that. He knows you give it to your bigs draw the double and give other guys easy shots. He will make changes as we get more talent for a different system then we have now.
