<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Insider first reported on Thursday that there has been talk of Houston's moving up a few spots in the draft to No. 5 or No. 6 in exchange for Luther Head and the No. 8 pick. Roy was caught by a reporter from the Seattle Times in the airport late Thursday and basically confirmed the story. "It's kind of a last-minute decision,'' Roy said. "[Houston] is trying to work a trade to get into the top five or six and they want to see me one last time.'' It's easy to see why Tellem would want Roy in Houston -- even if it means slipping a few spots in the draft. The Rockets have a need, and the team should be a winner if Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming stay healthy. The fact that McGrady is also a client of Tellem, who would like to help T-Mac win a title, is also a factor. Friday evening, I talked to a Rockets source, who confirmed they have been trying to move up in the draft. "We've talked to teams about moving up, down and out of the draft completely," the source told me. "Would we like to move up to grab a guy like Thomas or Roy? Sure. I'm just not sure if it's going to be possible."</div> Here's an excerpt from Insider. Rockets are after Roy, I'm not sure if 5 or 6 is high enough to land him, but he's exactly what this team needs.
This doesn't comfirm we are after him it just says we are having him in for a workout we might be moving up to get someone else.
Yes that way it can make portland want to do wut happened between atoine jaimson and vince carter. Get picked one slot higher with more money involved by charlotte.

The senior Washington guard explained why he was coming to Houston -- a team with the 8th pick -- when he was projected to go in the top 6 picks. "[My agent] told me that the Rockets are trying to move up, that they're trying to get some trades to happen so they want you to come in and do a workout for them," said Roy. "I said yeah it's great -- I think it's a great team and a great fit so I was willing to come down here and do it." Roy, who measured out at just over 6-foot-6 in shoes and showed an over 40-inch vertical leap at the combine, said he felt Houston would be a great fit for him. "I think Houston is a great team to play for, to play with Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming," said Roy. "I mean it would just give me a chance to come in and really learn the game before I just get thrown in to the deep water. I think it would be great for me." Donning a New York Yankees cap, Roy said he pulled his hamstring earlier in the week, but it did not keep him from performing at the Toyota Center. "They did a great job of loosening me up, putting me through some shooting drills and we just had a chance to talk, do some interviews and things like that. I think all in all it was a good experience," said Roy. "I was able to show them a little bit, not as much as I liked but we talked, they've watched alot of film, they were at alot of my games. This was more just to get a chance to talk to me and I got to sit down with the general manager, I got a chance to meet coach Van Gundy. It was just good, it was good all around." http://www.clutchfans.net/news/1328/roy_di...rocket_workout/</div> I think Roy would fit great with the Rockets. I hope the Rockets make a trade to move up soon.
Brewer is better than Roy. Roy is overhyped. Brewer and Roy exact same player except people think he can't shoo because of his arm but he can.
No reli have you seem them in game tapes not workouts. Brewer lead his team at point guard shot the ball better than roy handled it better than roy defended it better than roy. To me Roy just had too many good workouts and he turned himself from a mid first to a high lotto

I think both will be good NBA players ... Roy is more of a sure thing, though.
Roy is overhyped. If you didn't read the other article that came out, Roy's agent said that the rookie contract is worthless compared to the second contract. If roy gets on a good team, Roy will prosper and the Rockets are just that. Tyrus thomas has the same agent and thats why his agent said Bulls are after him because Bulls are playoff contenders. JJ redick has same agent and thats why when Redick pulled of DWI and back problems, his rumors stopped. Rockets are very secretive. Why would they tell Roy that they are after him over anyone else?
Roy=Shane Battier read the scouting reports look at the bodies look at their college tapes they play the same game. Will Shane Battier make us a better ball clup probably will Roy ever become a star no but do we need stars no. Is he the best avaliable role player beside tracy and yao i don't think so. If you are picking at number five you have a shot at a 7'1" pf who has great range and most say will become a good rebounds shot blocker after he puts on some weight. Or if we stay at 8 we still have one better than Brewer because one he handled the ball all the time for his team shot it very well and locked down the other team's best 1 2 or 3 and has great passing ability and has good numbers on athletic tests but so did Roy but those tests don't exactly equate to how fast you get up.

Roy is better at creating shots for himself and others. Roy could probably play 3 positions offensively. Battier is strictly a forward. Now Battier is a good player (I think he's very underrated). But Roy has more upside. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Is he the best avaliable role player beside tracy and yao i don't think so. I really hope we get Roy (even if it means losing Head who I really like), I think his size and ability to score can really help the Rockets
