But until then, everyone else is likely to speculate that the NBA is unveiling a new official ball that will replace the current one in the NBA. A news article on NBA.com reads: "On June 28, NBA Commissioner David Stern will introduce the NBA's newest employees, as he announces the Class of 2006. Before that, however, he will unveil the contents of the black box below -- sure to change the way you see the game. Check back Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. ET to see what's in the black box."</div> Source Edit- Didn't know a thread was already made about this topic. Close please.
I have an inside source that says that its 1 of 2 things to to be revealed. One to be revealed this year and the other in the near future. They will either reveal the new NBA Basketball or the new NBA Logo. Stern wants to leave the great past of the 80's and 90's the in the back of our minds, while also paying homage to it (like the greatness of the 60's and 70's). There will be many changes to some things we have come acustomed to in the NBA over the next 4 years. Some will be drastic some will be minor. I hope it will be for the better.
It's going to be the new ball that they're putting into play next year. It's going to take some time getting used to, I saw pictures of it somewhere. I thought someone posted it on here, actually.
A nice way to build some hype heading into the draft, will probally entice some more viewers to watch the draft.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting custodianrules2:</div><div class="quote_post">"What's in the box? What's in the box?" For those people who saw the movie Seven...</div> LMAO, I think Stern cracked and put Mark Cuban's head in it.
Maybe they're unveiling some sort of robot super ref, who actually knows how to call a game properly.
