but seriously what would we have to give up and take back in return? I've heard they want to package Cwebb as well, I know it would be tough to swallow if that muthaf*cker came back, but if it netted us AI I'm down. AI/Cwebb/#13 for Baron/Murphy/Fisher/#9 (they'd probably want Monta, Ike or Andris, but I'd let them keep the 13th if it meant bye-bye to Fish)

Please no AI! We don't need another guard taking 30 shots a game and not getting the rest of the players involved. Plus he's getting up there in years and he's probably going to be more injury prone as his body wears down.
Well, Iverson will solve our interior defense/offense, shot blocking, and rebounding problems, right? right? Ah, who am I kidding. Maybe, Mullin wants to make Davis, Iverson, Fisher, Richardson, Dunleavy line up...

AI averaged 7.9 and 7.4 assists the last two years. He would give us a winning mentality and change the losing culture. He plays much better defense than Baron, plus he'll take and make the last shot, and even though Baron and Jrich each hit some game winners last year, I'd feel much more confident if Iverson was creating the last shot.

Man, I sure hope Mullin hasn't fallen off the wagon... This better be a smokescreen or some random rumor or a half-truth because we're involved in a 3-way deal that lands us somebody that can address our problems inside.

All right... just don't get upset if the other guys aren't getting touches and he's taking 30 shots a game at 39-40% shooting. He plays with heart, but the guy is selfish sometimes. The guy wouldn't even come off the bench after an injury because he felt doing such a thing was below him. At least Baron came off the bench when he was asked to.

If Baron can play a full season and not miss 20 games because of a sprained ankle, shoot anywhere close to AI's 42% and 80% from the FT line, and show some heart then I'd be very happy. What three teamer are you talking about?
If we get Iverson for Baron, then Philadelphia owes us a few future picks or they have to assume somebody like Foyle or Fisher's contract.

It involved players like Wallyworld, Boozer, and AI, I think. Check celticsblog.net Not sure if its going to work because its complicated. Plus, it's probably just a rumor... I don't think we're involved in a 3 team trade, but we might. We never know...

As a matter of fact, Layden made so many phone calls with his silly trade ideas, other GMs didn't even answer his phone calls later. So, I take this rumor as one of those light discussions. But, I seriously doubt that Mullin 'pursued' Iverson, because he doesn't address critical weakness of this club at all...

Well, if heart can be converted to W, I won't mind. But, Philly was .500 club in Leastern, I mean Eastern conference for quite some time. Besides, while he is still an excellent player, he really failed to play with any scorers around him like Hughes, Stackhouse, Robinson, Webber and so on. And, when Iverson was surrounded with defensive-minded role players, they made to Final. Warriors have bunch of scorers with no defensive minded role players. So, I think it really is a match made from the hell...
Don't forget the Sixers were in one of the weakest divisions in the Eastern conference. I mean the Atlantic division has gotten some better, but its mainly just guards, guards, guards... Teams with size go far or Miami would have never gotten as far as they did with only with Dwade. Dallas didn't have a star center, but they still had impact in the paint because of their depth at big positions. We need to get bigger, not softer and further away from the basket. We definitely don't need ballhogs trying to score half of the team's points all on his own. That was our big problem this year. I don't think Mullin could do it, because I don't believe he's lost it and became Isiah Thomas just yet.

I forgot about AI's defense -- it's good. real good.
