They no doubt reached for Shelden, but why not. If you can't find a partner close enough to still get your man, make the pick.
Why not? You don't really have to workout a guy for him to be who you want. Smokescreen? Have teams think you have no intrest in him so you can get a trade partner. It's all good if you ask me. Workouts, really I mean what does that tell you other than bringing him in to see what kind of speed, and measurements he has. They saw something they liked in him and wanted him.
if i was a gm i would never draft a guy without a workout unless i watched like everyone of his games AND was a second round pick. Why risk it. what if he isnt as good a shooter as the stats show, or something like that. Plus you wont know his how hard of a worker he is.
