<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">It would take a blockbuster deal for the Bulls to surrender the No. 2 pick in tonight?s NBA draft. They did talk about potential packages for Minnesota?s Kevin Garnett at one point, according to a league source, but nothing appears to be on the front burner. There has been a little more action with the 16th pick. Trading that selection for Dallas swingman Marquis Daniels was one possibility, but the Bulls don?t like Daniels? contract, which calls for $19 million over the next three years. The Bulls may be open to bringing back 6-foot-5 guard Trenton Hassell for the 16th pick if Minnesota is looking to trim payroll. Hassell is slightly less expensive, with $17.5 million and four seasons left on his contract. One rumor of pairing the 16th pick and Chris Duhon for Boston?s No. 7 pick will not happen. There is talk that using No. 16 and Michael Sweetney in a swap to get Philadelphia?s 13th pick is possible. The Bulls probably would take back guard Kevin Ollie in such a deal. Since the Bulls will have about $16 million in cap room July 1, they could trade a draft pick for a veteran player without having to give back an equal salary. If the Bulls keep the 16th pick, keep an eye on Switzerland?s 6-6 Thabo Sefolosha, who averaged 12.0 points for Angelico Biella of the Italian league. Sefolosha would be the tall, defensive-minded guard the Bulls are lacking.</div> Source
They only one I like is the Daniels trade. I'm not really interested in Hassell. And I've seen mocks that the Bulls would take Thabo Sefolosha with #16. I've read scouting reports on Sefolosha that said he can play defense, but doesn't really have a offensive game. Not a really good jumpshot or range. He could develope one though.
I wouldn't mind trading Sweets and the 16 to move up the 13th spot, but I really don’t want to take on Kevin Ollie. Ollie would likely just warm the bench, and is a kind of overpaid considering the numbers/playing time he gets. Is it really worth taking him on just to move up three spots. The only way I see this trade going down is if Carney/Brewer is still on the board.
