ESPN just reported that you guys have officially traded your draft pick for Sebastian Telfair. IMO this is a BAD trade...telfair still has to prove himself
ahahah you guys got SCREWEDD i dont think this is what PP meant when he said lets trade the pick for an all-star WTH is danny ainge thinking
SUCKS FOR BOSTON!!! Wow what a bummer...this close to landing the Answer and poof...there it goes. However, if Telfair does Indeed live up to his hype imagine this lineup in three years: PG: Sebastian Telfair SG: Paul Pierce SF: Gerald Green PF: Ryan Gomes C: Al Jefferson You guys can afford to go small because you play in the Atlantic, that lineup will be spectacular if those young guys do turn out to be special.
The Blazers acquired Telfai with the 14th pick. They trade him for a 7th. Crazy. Someone else must've been involved.
This isn't great we could have really gotten something special in the draft. Plus Delonte West was really starting to play well last season, and if Telfair comes....who starts?
Celtics wern't gonna get anything special in the draft. Im not so sure Telfair is here to stay. If he is, its not great, but not terrible. Delonte West is better, but Telf has talent. We'll just have to see. At least he wont command as much money or shots as Iverson
Not sure how good Telfair will be, but the Celtics could of gotten a better player with their #7 pick. Someone that was projected in the top of the lottery could have dropped. They probably could have gotten Marcus Williams, who might be a better point guard than Telfair, but only time will tell. They might also trade Telfair or something, so who knows.
Hey guys, I know it's all exciting because it's draft day and all, but I hate to tell you that this draft sucks. People seemed to know it a couple months ago, but now it seems like everybody forgot. Telfair may have been a middle first rounder in his draft, but he would easily be top 5 if he came out this year. This is a good deal whether we keep him or he turns out being part of a trade.
Do you think Portland packages both picks to move up or they stay still? This draft may be weak, but I'm still very skeptical about Telfair's ability to be a consistent starter.

I guess the official trade is Telfair/Ratliff for #7/LaFrentz/Dickau so its not that bad for the Celtics.

The Celtics could definitely have gotten a better player at seven.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting 44Thrilla:</div><div class="quote_post">Such as??</div> I think Marcus Williams, possibly Brandon Roy, and maybe Rudy Gay are better players. While I agree this draft is below average, the move is risky considering Telfair hasn't stepped up like Everyone thought he would. Boston should have tried to take one of their later picks.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting 44Thrilla:</div><div class="quote_post"> Such as??</div> Marcus Williams, Randy Foye, Rudy Gay (not a point guard, but still), Brandon Roy (if he slips), or Thomas/Aldridge if one of them slip.
