Damn, Cleveland gets the potential steal of the draft by picking Brown at 25.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting NTC187:</div><div class="quote_post">Also why the hell did Chicago trade Rodney Carney!? Thabo Sefolosha is going to be a garunteed bust. Did they manage to aquire anything else in the trade?</div>
Chicago actually also gave a future 2nd... And Chicago could have gotten him at 16. He doesn't sound as bad though. Read this for a scouting report: http://www.draftexpress.com/viewarticle.php?a=1330

And the guys on ESPN said he's one of the top 3 best perimeter defensive players in the draft. I wouldn't have taken him over Brewer or Carney though. But, it fits the Bulls style.

Most scouting reports are a joke if you ask me, look at how many players have racked up excellent scouting reports, yet failed to do anything in the league *cough*Kwame Brown*cough*.

That article was a scouting report from 1 specific workout though. Not every game he did something good. But, I do kind of agree with you. Just defending him because he's a Bulls now and hopefully he'll be good [IMG]

Portland's had a great draft... Three future starters.

    C: LaMarcus Aldridge
PF: Randolph (If they don't, I think Aldridge will be in the PF spot)
    SF: Martell Webster
    SG: Brandon Roy
    PG: Sergio Rodriguez

And they have 2 straight picks coming.

What I dont understand is, why didnt Chicago just pick Tyrus Thomas at #2, and let Portland take LaMarcus at #4?

I think Tyrus is a nice pick up, but for some reason, I'd rather have seen LaMarcus stay in the Bulls (as if I had to pick a second favourite team, it would be the Bulls).

They could've had a sick line up:

    C - LaMarcus Aldridge
PF - Tyson Chandler / Andres Nocioni
SF - Luol Deng / Rodney Carney
    SG - Ben Gordon
PG - Kirk Hinrich / Chris Duhon

They've still done good though, just dont agree with the trading of Carney.

I don't like the move for Roy by Portland, you already have Webster who can play the two, why not secure the PG spot for the future. Why make the Aldridge deal? He would've been there at 4. Also, MJ makes his first mistake IMO, sure it's Morrison but Gay will be a better player.

Whats up with portland. They seem to be the joke of the draft. they are even being dogged by jerry west. They get rid of telfair and now they have a strange assortment of players. But who knows they might make some noise.

That's what I was wondering. But, it was probably because the Bulls also got Khryapa.

I thought they had a good draft until Joel because I know nothing about him... Of course their team sucks, but they didn't pick or trade for bad players. Aldridge, Roy, Sergio Rodriguez.

I think the bulls are gonna run this season. they enjoyed their success against miami with their run game. If we run tyrus makes more sence.

LaMarcus Aldridge, Brandon Roy, Sergio Rodriguez, and Joel Freeland. Portland had a solid draft IMO.

Yeah I agree, solid pickups no doubt, however they dont really make sense. That unless of course they're going to do some off season wheeling and dealing, which I'm pretty sure is going to be the case.

We'll have to see how this plays out.

I'm anticipating Detroit gets a steal, lol. I'd be happy if we picked up some one like Eric Hicks.

^^I think he could be the next Ben Wallace, undersized but a monster down low anyways. I love his game. Milwaukee got a great pick right now in Noel.

Well, they are probably getting rid of Randolph and Miles to make room for the younger players. They already got rid of Ratliff.

...why the hell would you trade Rudy Gay AND No-Show-Stro for Shane Battier??? *sigh i guess its not that bad Shane Battier is a solid player and is a good D player and can help the Rockets alot.

One Question. Was Allen Ray in the draft? If yes why the F did Rockets not pick him up?

White for Johnson, Indiana piling up on SF's and a HUGE pick for Denver with Leon Powe.
