This will be the new ball used next season. Thoughts?

I think it still won't solve Foyle's inability to catch most passes and Dunleavy's still going to lay out bricks that fall two feet wide right and three feet short.

Well, I don't have too much problem with the change, since other sports also change the ball number of times. After all, we heard a lot of complains with grab and stuff. But, do they have to change the outlook of the ball? It feels like NBA is changing something that represented NBA for a long time...

Yeah -- it's weird looking -- what's so bad about intersecting seams? -- personally for me this would be a big change -- especially at the free throw line. I wonder why they changed.

If the nba ball is going to change, the Warriors unis should change.

I opt for bright yellow warriors jerseys, but different from the 03 throwbacks.

Nothing like bright yellow color to blind our opponents into submission.

Man, I hope these balls stick to Foyle's hands.

Does the ball have change in weight, material, and other dimensions of the ball as well? Or is it just the design? I remember Jim Barnett being someone that was against the way the NBA officials/league chooses to use those new balls all the time, rather using the more used and worn balls which wouldn't be so hard, especially on the hands when someone tried to catch the ball or slippery when someone tried to handle it to the hoop or something. Maybe this new ball will be softer to give the players a few more friendly bounces on the rim. I am sure there would be many players happy to see the changes that Barnett wants in the manner of choosing a basketball to play with, implemented by the league; such as Pietrus(who had a nasty streak of just dropping a bunch of balls and having the balls slip out of his hands, especially when going to the hoop), Foyle(no brainer), and probably Dunleavy(to get some friendly rolls off the rim).

It'd be nice if the balls were softer, it'd be even better if they made the rims softer also. I know certain arenas have harder rims than others.

It doesn't matter for me. A basketballer can play with everyball but i think, this change wasn't neccesary
