Says the Warriors don't play like a team, but more like as individuals and that's why we lost every year for the last 12 years

Says he has confidence in Montgomery, but it's shaky.

Says the Center pick is good for us because we're a "donut" squad (as in nothing in the middle)

Says we need to find a lot of good players to surround this guy until he's ready.

That's the first time I've wholeheartedly believed Screamin' A. Smith wasn't talking out of his ass.

We do suck as a team and hence we're not a team. Not enough balance of talent in the front court and nobody in the middle yet...

All the critics on the espn draft show said that POB was either going to be okay or really good. It can go either way because he hasn't shown enough over a longer period of time and he's young.

Okay, or really good -- but perhaps he'll just be another GM brain fart lost in the Golden State shuffle?

Well there weren't many safe centers in this draft... and finding another position like small forward could be taken care of in other ways like through free agency or through trade. Let's hope Mullin is good in this aspect of general management or we will be mightily dissapointed.

At least we weren't disappointed as Knicks fans and most of them New Yorkers working at ESPN. Knicks passed over Marcus Williams for some guy I dunno who.

We played as a team during the Musselman years. The only complaint I had was the weird 4Q substitutions and lack of continuity.

As a team? No we didn't. You can probably make a case for that in 2003 but it was the strategies laid down in the 3rd or 4th that didn't win ball games. It was too simplified, but I'm sure Mullin knew if he made it too complicated, we'd get Montgomery ball like we have right now because guys simply don't understand plays or teamwork. Nick Van Exel would even criticize Musselman's pass and cut plays as too predictable, but it was the only offense that Jrich or Murphy could get the hang of. Plus, we had no clear cut go to guy...

We haven't played as a team for 12 years and coincidentally we've missed the playoffs all those years.

Smith sure was annoying. Try DECAF ya loudmouth!

If you want a legit C and do not want to overpay a mediocre FA or get the shaft in a trade-you roll the dice with a guy like Cheesecake O'Bryant. Between him,Biedrens and Taft-we have bigs to develop. Whenever Mully admits that Monty can't coach in the pros,we can move on to the next phase.

We now have 5 top 15 picks on the bench-and a pair of rd 2's from 06 who rank with a mid-high rd 1. We have the PG who's #2 in assists. Our Go-to guy scored more than KG. Our PF had 3 20 rbd games-and can hit a 3.

A proper coach can take that and win half the time-no sweat.

A year ago, when Baron was the new guy and we had that surprise surge...we did play as a team. The players are willing and able but are chained to coaches who fail at job one which is to make the most of what's on hand.

These players are eager to have the CHANCE to play as a team,to win. Why get bruised and sweaty to be a loser?

The only reason we had that suprise surge in winning was because we were knocked out of the playoffs already. Teams didn't give a crap about us and players no longer had that pressure of trying to win at all costs. With the way the Warriors shoot free throws, you know something mental is going on.

Games played at the end of a losing season don't indicate what kind of team we are. Just watch us beat Dallas this year.

We must have fans who have the shortest memories on earth because every single year there's always that short burst at the end when we don't have to commit to teamwork as much as we just play as individuals. We don't even have to play defense as much and the other team isn't pressuring as much as they could be doing.

On offense, even Jim Barnett has pointed out that when Baron Davis makes a move or when somebody breaks another guy down on isolations, the other guys don't freakin' move off the ball. That ain't no teamwork. That's just the other team not really caring about facing us in the offseason. Why should they play 100% or even play their best guys near the end of regular season. They are caring about the playoffs not the regular season.

But anyway, I agree about Cheesecake. Good pick for potential and need.
