Obviously Carney etc could be included but damn, i'm excited for this.
Who knows if white will even be invited to the contest? its dependable if he actually makes an impact during the season. There are alot of sick dunkers in the league who aren't invited becase their bench scrubs most of the season.
I hope they will allow more than 4 players to participate. I believe a good amount would be 6 players. It should include Nate Robinson (Champ's gotta defend his title), AI2, James White, Carney, Rudy Gay, and Gerald Green.
james white will run away with it no doubt. he could have made a between the legs free throw dunk!!!!! but he jumped too far!!! he can also do a windmill from te free throw line, iggy doesnt have a chance imo.
judgin from all these guys gerald green would probably win. too bad though that the dunk contest no longer has any of the big stars in the game in it like when jordan and wilkins went at each other. most casual fans could care less about the dunk contest these days coz all the players are pretty much no-name guys and at this point theyve seen all the dunks before
Don`t sleep on Carney, he could be a possible canidate. He did guarentee more dunks next season to Stuart Scott.

The dunk contests just aren't the same anymore. The elite players don't participate anymore and it's very obvious. It's not going to change and I understand, theres just not as much hype anymore. I miss the dunks by Jordan, Spud, Kobe, Vince, etc. It seems like now they just get decent players that have a good vertical to participate, and the winners are known for strictly dunks from then on. Think about it - Josh Smith, Fred Jones, and Nate Robinson. They were the winners from the past 3 contests and they are known for their dunking ability. And Robinson wasn't even that great - he missed 13 freaking times and STILL won. Then you had the druggie that missed basically every shot and he's not even in the league anymore.. Chris Anderson I believe. It should be a hit or miss, and bring the elite players. Kobe, Tmac, or Lebron for example are great dunkers, and if they won they wouldn't be known for winning the dunk contest for the rest of their careers. They'll be known for winning MVPs, scoring titles, and NBA Championships
