Drew Gooden: Would be perfect for our squad, reminds me of an athletic Juwan Howard.

    Bonzi Wells:
Would fit Rockets PERFECT. He's that 3rd scorer that we've been waiting for since Tmac got here. Can slider over and play some SF too. Big game player who you can trust in the playoffs. (and gets to the free throw line)

Vladimir Radmonavic: Shoot lights out, doesn't play D. But he could spread the offense out similar to Sheed and A.Walker do for they're respective teams.

Nene: Coming off knee surgery, is a big question mark. But might be a nice addition playing along side Yao.

    Joe Pryzilla:
I didn't know who he was 2yrs ago, but he redeemed himself by playin some solid games against the Rockets this season. He's another hustle player at PF, but his game is solid.

    Al Harrington:
Would rather have him than Battie, but both would be great. He's a tweener who can play both SF/PF. Plays lockdown D, and can handle the rock.

    Peja Stojakovic
: Would LOVE him in Houston, but yea right, in our dreams[IMG]

    Jason Terry:
No way in hell, he ain't comin to Houston

Ben Wallace: Not gonna happen fellas

Mike James: Don't know if he's really interested in us after traded him. We obviously need firepower and quickness after getting none in the draft. Could play that "Jason Terry" role in the playoffs.

Personally, I'd prefer us to trade for a shooting guard & lightning quick PG, and also sign a athletic PF. Drew Gooden would be perfect, don't know the cap situation but anything can happen with a trade or two. Bonzi Wells is also a great choice, but might be a longshot. The big question to me is 'can Van Gundy coach an team with lots of firepower'. The slow down game isn't successful in the West Conference. 'Will Van Gundy give the ok to get some offensive players'? We already screw'd the draft up, but can we bounce back in FA. The answer, WE BETTER!!

you missed Speedy Claxton because if Bob Sura comes back we can put him at SG and speedy who can sign for 5 mill or less will back up alston so theres a chance we could get him.

None of those guys have a chance at coming to Houston. Gooden will resign because he has Lebron to play around. Most of those guys are sg/sf. We have that in Battier and Mcgrady.

Cleveland has to keep Anderson Varejao, who could pretty much get a better contract and starting spot somewhere else. Their top three big men are all free agents, so at least one of them will be available. I won't mind having either Varejao or Gooden. Nene though I'd stay away from. The guy can only play in the post and is a below-average defender.

If we don't get a key FA, will be back in the lottery next season. I PRAY that CD works his magic.

the FA class this year is considerably worse than the draft. Ben Wallace, Jason Terry, and Al harrington highlight. Ben Wallace being the only leader and worth going for.

Al Harrington is out of our reach.
I'm not a big fan of Drew gooden. He is just a better Stromile w/ less athletisism.
Sppedy Claxton would be good, but max number of players we can bring in is 2. MLE has to be split up. We need to overhaul this roster like Cleveland did last year.

Drew Gooden is everything we need in a PF. He's long, can jump, rebound, defend, and hit open jumpers. And he's young. Plus he played very good in the playoffs.

He has been with Cleveland for 2 years. He doesn't have the highest basketball IQ and can't space the floor out. Amazing rebounder though. I wouldn't want to spend my whole MLE on him though. We are in a position where we are forced to split the MLE.

    Very True.

    Our current line up stands:

    PG- Alston
    SG- TMac/Head
    SF- Battier/Novak
    PF- Howard/Hayes
C - Yao Ming (Mutombo is really getting older, but can we afford anything else?)

With gaping holes at PF and a desperate need for a backup PG, it looks like CD and JVG always have this as their worst option.

    PG - Alston/Head
    SG -TMac/Bogans/Wesley(Vets min)
    SF - Battier/Novak/Bogans
    PF - Howard/Hayes/Novak
    C - Yao/Deke

With this line up we can afford to resign Wesley, Bogans and a backup C. I hate doing this move, but I can see CD going for it if we can't get any good signings.

Right now we just have to PRAY we can sign Bonzi Wells. If he doesn't work out, he is always good trade bait.

WE dont have vets minimum. I think we are doing some major changes. Our starting lineup is pretty much set. We need depth. Guys that can come off the bench.

I would love Drew Gooden, this dude makes use of his minutes. I also think the Rockets are in a hunt of getting him, wow this reminds me of the Cavs lineup but better, even look at it in this way.

    Rafer > Eric Snow
Shane Battier > Ronald Murray (defense)
T-mac > Lebron (we know its true)
    Drew Gooden = Drew Gooden
    Yao Ming > Big Z.

If we get Drew Gooden and are 100% healthy, I think we can stick up with the Mavs in the West Conference Finals.

If mavs lose Jason terry this year in FA than yes with Drew Gooden we would be better. cavaliers had a strong draft though. We had a weak one.
