<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TmacGarnett:</div><div class="quote_post">If mavs lose Jason terry this year in FA than yes with Drew Gooden we would be better. cavaliers had a strong draft though. We had a weak one.</div> i think we had a solid draft. rudy gay and steve novak. ive watched novak and this kid is great. he has more than just a 3 point shot. draft was strong but the trade was very very weak imo.
Mike James: Don't know if he's really interested in us after traded him. We obviously need firepower and quickness after getting none in the draft. Could play that "Jason Terry" role in the playoffs. Mike is VERY serious bout comming back to Houston hes been on 610 and on the news stating that fact. Problem is PT and that we just added another undersized guard to our line up, is he gonna come off the bench? Or do you run him at the 2 w/Skip(Wich will once again leave us with a WAY urdersized backcourt) and bring Battier off the pine?
James has been adamant that he plays the one, and he thinks of himself highly enough that he wouldn't mind a three year contract. He thinks he's playing at an All-Star level and thought that he would've been a MVP candidate had the Raptors been closer to the playoffs. He's comparing himself to Mike Bibby too, while we're at it. There you have James's plans with free agency. Is he humble enough to become a Rocket again? I doubt it, and if he does take a short contract, he'll ask for more than the MLE. After all, that's what he thinks he's worth. Confidence is good when you have it in sufficient measures, but this is egoistical.
If we want some quickness and some quick scoring.. I say get Mike James. I always liked this guy.. He is amazing and could be a quik coring ooption off the bench or could start at 2 or 1.
I think Rasual Butler fits in well off the bench. Long athletic, streaky with his shooting plays 2 and 3. Qyntel Woods saw unpredictable minutes night to night in NY but showed he can play. Deshawn Stevenson, won't be the 3pt shooter at 2 the Rockets need, but is athletic and a good defender Mike James wouldn't be so terrible off the bench. He is a scorer and everybody in the building knows he will get a shot if he touches the ball. Jared Jeffries isn't a shooter, buts makes things happen with his length on the perimeter. Fred Jones fits, and he is quick and athletic and can score between Yao and TMac. Not alot of great players that fit the 2 guard spot. Many undersized or can't shoot or old. PF by committee could work with Juwan Chuck Novak Shane 4 non starters that will find minutes at the 4.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting THE DREAM:</div><div class="quote_post">I heard it from another guy from another website....I'm lookin for a source as we speak.</div> oh ok.. I just hope its true..
I hope it is to....I'm asking the guy for the source....ESPN reported that JVG was at Mike James front door this morning to talk about resigning with the rockets.........could u imagine Tinsley starting and James coming off the bench *dream starts drooling*
Wow.. But then we'd have too many pg's Sura, Tinsley, James, and Alston. UNless we can trade Alston. But i'd rather have Mike James then Tinsley.
well there have been rumours that Peja might be traded for Francis, so Indiana might want Alston..........I'd trade just about anyone excluding Tmac, Yao, and Battier
We should target James with our MLE and then try and sign Bogans and Cato to the veterans minimum. I think that would help us a lot as we maintain speed and depth in the backcourt, and Cato gives us a solid defender and rebounder in the middle.
