<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel - The Milwaukee Bucks have one - and possibly two - trades still in the works that could come to fruition in the days ahead, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. One would undoubtedly involve center Jamaal Magloire, whom Harris would not hesitate to move if the right deal came along. Washington is said to be interested. The other possible trade, according to a source, would be of a more "surprising" nature. Asked if his trade options involving Magloire had dried up, Harris said: "No. I think the thing was once you got into the draft, it was more focused in on that (draft). I didn't have anything for Jamaal relating to the draft. So when we got into the draft process, it really had no bearing on whether we could move Jamaal or not. (The conversations were) strictly draft picks, future draft picks and things like that." Harris did try to move into the first round or at least up in the second round. "A lot of things were going on," he said. Harris said that he was among those who were on the phone with the Blazers, who made six trades on draft night. "I was trying to do a couple things with Portland," he said. "They seemed to want to trade their whole team or at least acquire seven or eight players. I mean, it's incredible what was going on. I talked to (Portland scout) John Gabriel, and I said 'John, it's impressive; how are you keeping your roster updated?' They need all kinds of tags and erasers with all that stuff going on."</div> I'm all for the Wizards acquiring Magliore, as long as it doesn't take much. I know the Bucks were really interested in Etan Thomas when he was a free agent, so look for him to be involved in any sort of trade. http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/411...to_the_wizards/
It all depends on what Milwaukee wants. Magloire is a decent, but not amazing C, o there's not need to give up too much for him. In addition to that, his contract expires after next season, and there's not gurantee he returns, so you don't want to trade for a 1 year rental. Also he'll be asking for a lot of money, so even if he wants to return, I wouldn't want to overpay him.
Etan Thomas and fillers. The Bucks are huge on Thomas, have been for awhile. They wanted him when he was a restricted free agent, but the Wizards matched their offer.
I'd give Magliore a shot if it's just for Etan and fillers. If he doesn't do so well in the year that he's here then simply don't re-sign him and pick up some nice cap room.
I'd do Etan Thomas and Jarvis Hayes, the Bucks have been heavily interested in both players, for Magliore.
