<div class="quote_poster">Quoting tinyballer:</div><div class="quote_post">If anything the powerforward we are going after now is Tyson Chandler. He is a great rebounder shotblocker and already has the number to prove that. Has been working hard to gaining weight in his dream to be come an All Star. Good friends with yao ming played U-18 stuff with each other. He is not a potential guy he is a good rebounder and would be even better now since he is gaining weight. Very good shot blocker not a potentially good shotblocker. He is not a stromile swift he has proven himself as one of the top defenders. If he really wants to be an all star like he said in hoopshype i expect he'll be working on his offence. Chicago wants vertran leadership and a low post big man that can score. We can give them both in Juwan Howard and Bobby Sura who has toughness that is highly conveted by Skiles.</div> I was a Chandler advocate last summer when he was a free agent, but he turned out to be way out of our price range. But why would Chicago want Howard and Sura? They already have Mike Sweetney and Tyrus Thomas at power forward, with Ben Wallace now in the middle. If they trade Chandler, it'll be to create cap relief. PS: Juwan Howard and Bob Sura are probably the players on our roster that are the hardest to trade.
Didn't u see Paxon said he wanted a big man who can score. Juwan Howard before the T-MAC Yao Tandem could score 18 pts a game. They also want him because he is a good leader and good example setter and can push people. Bobby Sura because he is also a good leader who pushes people he is also scrappy plays hard and has a toughness that their coach Skiles highly convets. Every team needs vetran leadership to head far in the playoffs this team does not have it right now but with this trade they acquire it and they are looking like they are serious about heading far into the playoffs.

No team would want to take on a liability's contract. As for Paxson, didn't you hear that the Bulls are looking to trade Chandler for more cap room? Howard has three years left on his contract, certainly not appealing. There is reportedly already a PJ Brown for Chandler trade in the works.
Nene re-signed with the Nugs. Chandler was traded to the Hornets. If we really needed another PF, signs are that no one is hot after Gooden, who might just sign a one-year tender with Cleveland. If we somehow manage to acquire Mike James in a sign-and-trade, then hopefully Gooden would take our MLE.
