Should the Lakers make a run for Kevin Pittsnoggle? They need some big man help and I think he would be able to provide it. I'd love to have him on our summer league team, he could be a great backup for Kwame, right away, until Bynum's ready.

    Thoughts?

Well to be honest, I really see Pittsnoggle even though he is tall as more of a small forward type player. I mean, don't get me wrong he could easily back up Kwame, it is just how he shoots more outside shots then inside. Reminds me of a poor poor poor man's Dirk to some extent. But, as you were saying, yes I think that adding him to at least the Summer League Squad and letting him test the waters and show what he can do would be great. He could step in and take some minutes off of Kwame's back for sure I think.

You're right, but it doesn't even have to be a Kwame, it could be our PF. Pittsnoggle could easily give us an extra body to throw in the game and could give you a couple of baskets.

Personally, I'd like Bynum to get more playin time. Clogging up the frontcourt wont allow for that, unless its KG. haha.

I say focus on getting a good backup for Kobe and getting the Alien inked.

Our frontline is thin right now. Kwame, Mihm, and Turiaf are sure things to produce some, but Bynum isn't. Mihm is most likely on his way out, as well. That leaves us with Kwame and Turiaf, at least. Bynum would be the only backup for the bigs, I'd love to ink one more big to secure another body for our bigs.

Is George gone already? We have Kwame, Mihm, Turiaf, Odom, Bynum, Walton, and Cook still on the CURRENT roster. Thats 7 and if we still include George thats 8 for the frontcourt. I dont think our frontline is very thin as of now. What about Slava? Is he even going to be on the Laker roster next season?

Yeah, I didn't understand why we drafted Cheick Samb and we could have drafted Pittsnoggle or McNamara, I say put both of those on our summer league team. McNamara can shoot the ball, and I think Pittsnoggle can become a Rodman like player (more Rodman-like than Balkman at least).
