New Jersey declines to exercise the option on Clifford Robinson for the 2006-07 season; waives Scott Padgett. http://www.nba.com/transactions/current_mo...ansactions.html I want Padgett back on this team. The pick and roll w/ him and T-Mac that left Padgett open to knock down the open tre/jumper was a good go to play. I have heard good things about Robinson as well. I am not sure if he is too old though.
Robinson is a great fit and would start on this team. As for PAdgett, we have Novak so hes useless to us now.
We should have never let Padgett go in the first place, but Van Gundy wanted more defense on an already defensive minded team. Mutumbo, Bogans, Battie, Hayes & Bowen are all defensive minded guys. We're gonna need some firepower. Padgett would be great, but we might have to send Novac back to the Dleague.
I would like Robinson because he can play 3 positions. We already have our Padgett-clone in Novak. Robinson would greatly add to our frontcourt depth.
