That's bull****, RJ is the one we're depending on to team up with Nenad in the future, so why would we trade him?

Nenad's future is dependent on whether RJ is here or not. Nenad isn't a franchise player.

I doubt it, Krstic hasnt even shown enough in my opinion to say that he is worth a huge amount of money when his deal up, he is a very one dimensional big man, basically just a quality big from 12-15 feet, with the jumper, that's it. He isnt strong defensively and is a below average finisher around the basket for someone his size. So I doubt that the Nets are looking to make such a drastic move now that will probably take them out of any legitimate championship hopes, just to free up money for Krstic now. They would more likely be looking to maybe move a Collins cause he will be making about 6 or 7 mill a year for the next few and I say that is the type of money that should go to Krstic not 11 or 12 mill. But then again so many bigs are getting over paid that you never really know.

No one. Teams that want Jefferson aren't willing to give up a valuable player for him. They are trying to get him without giving up their best or really good players.

Honestly, I don't see any reason why the Nets would get rid of Jefferson. He's a great talent at only 26-years old. The only reason I can possibily think of is that they would be willing to unload him for a power forward and then start Antoine Wright (who isn't ready) or go with a two point guard look with Marcus and Kidd. Makes absolutely no sense to me...

RJ may very well be the future of the Nets. And it's true, the Nets won't be able to get an equal trade with any team. RJ is a great fit for the Nets but I don't think other teams see him as a franchise player. The Nets should keep RJ. And if anything, the Nets would be better off unloading Carter, The Nets could get a better deal with a trade involving VC rather then Jefferson. I'd rather see Carter out than Jefferson.

He is the future when Kidd and Carter are gone. Not saying it's a good one. He's a role player at best, getting all the buckets when the STAR is taking a breather. RJ has a fit anywhere and the Nets letting him go for some defensive role players would be a great idea, a Marion type or and Artest type would work. Or maybe a younger athletic stud with some up side. Josh Smith and Marvin Williams sounds nice.

RJ plays on both ends of the court.
If your gonna get rid of anyone, it should be Carter in my opinion.

    Just thinking out the box
    RJ for
    Swift and R.Gay from Memphis

It would really only be costing Memphis Shane to get RJ.
    Would either side do it?

I doubt this would happen. Jefferson is a great fit in NJ. He's just going to get better.

    Not Likely At All

If Jefferson was to be traded, the Nets would most likely be on the losing end of that trade, unless they get a great forward or center. Jefferson just works all too well the Nets. His abilities are too valuable for the Nets to trade him. He has shown in the past that he can play at even an All-Star level at times when he is needed to do so. So it is not too likely that such a transaction would take place.

Agreed but I have been hearing many rumors that Jefferson is quietly on the block. If they get a reasonable deal, they will pull the trigger. It's all rumors....but take it for what it's worth.

I do have a feeling that Carter will leave next season for more money, and that is more than a good reason to put him on the block. It would be stupid if we trade Jefferson, and Carter ends up leaving us when he is a free agent.

True! Carter will jump on the opportunity to get more money. Carter won't bring the Nets or any team for that matter a ring. I've said it a number of times, Carter is a great athlete and is incredible for highlight reels, but won't bring the nets a championship. He's more concerned with his stats rather than winning. Ship Carter out and Let Kidd regain control, Jefferson will only get better.

i say but carter on the block and see what we can get for him. I feel jefferson is the future if Hassan Adams can fill that roll that Kittles played when he was here (but thats to much to ask for in a rookie by the way does anybody know how good hassan adams defense is?). Then pick up a big man for the 4 or 5 spot then we would be good i think we should have made that push for chris wilcox or stormo swift last year they both could have matured properly playing along side kidd carter and rj. Also i guess i was the only one hoping that we got shareef last season i wanted the nets to take that chance with him he would have been the best gamble for us unlike those other ones like Rogers, Motumbo and Alonzo.

JEFFERSON IS NOT LEAVING NEW JERSEY, NO WAY! I CAN SEE THE KNICKS WINNING A CHAMPIONSHIP (hahaha, what a funny thought) BEFORE NETS TRADE JEFFERSON!
