I have been seeing so much of this lately on so many boards. I mean I just think it's retarded to put M.Williams over J-Kidd. Kidd even at this age, is much better than Williams and I can't understand how many idiots suggest that Williams should the starting point guard for Nets. In the future...sure, but not while Kidd is around. Maybe I'm wrong, your thoughts? [IMG]

No you were right the first time. Marcus Williams starting over Jason Kidd is retarded.

Of course he should start over Kidd. I mean, it's common sense.

He can play along side with Kidd. We'd have a great offensive lineup if it was Kidd, Williams, Carter, Jefferson, Nenad.

No way Marcus starts over Kidd this season, hell, probably not even next season either. Kidd may be getting old, but he's still one of the best in the league (imo he's still the best, but that's beyond the point). You don't start a rookie over a future hall of famer who can still play with the best of 'em.

Right. You want the guy to learn from kidd. I like the move by drafting him. But throwing him in the starting spot makes no sence. And you better beleive vince and rich would have a fit.

I never said starting Jefferson at the forward, I'm talking about an offensive line up that Frank can go to. And it would work if the Suns model has taught us anything.

Kidd should be the starter until he retires. Let Williams learn from Kidd.

The Nets is Jason's team. He will start until the time he chooses to retire. You don't replace one of The NBA's greatest player of all-time for a rookie. That's plain DUMB! Without Kidd The Nets will be in the cellar of the Eastern Conference!

Kidd is one year older than nash, is nash too old? This is the dumbest thing i have ever heard. i know you guys are excited about marcus, but there is a reason he slipped so far in the draft. Kidd is still one of the premier pg's in the league.

Kidd is still one of the best point guards in the game. His defense last year was great, and we although we don't really see him scoring alot anymore, he still can change the outcome of the game by just being on the court.

Marcus Williams will never get the opportunity to start over Jason Kidd, who just happens to be an All-Star point guard that probably has the most triple-doubles as an active player. The thought never even crossed my mind before this. As soon as he came to the Nets, he made an immediate impact that allowed the Nets to become a contender in the East and it still has been the same way. We don't even know if Williams will still do as well as we expect him to do. Even if he was to still do good, it would not change that Jason Kidd will start.

Kidd may be older, but he's probably in better shape.

The only way Williams starts is if the Nets don't want their laptops stolen.

Kidd isn't scoring much simply because he does not choose to score a lot. He wants a solid team, he wants to win a ring and to that he must have able back up. Making his teammates look good.. that's what makes him one the greatest of all time!

If New Jersey wants to win I don't see how it can't be Kidd. He's old, yes he's slowed down a bit, yes he's not the same on the offensive end of the floor, but he still does the things that will make him go to the Hall of Fame. He's still one of the best defensive point guards in the league, and he still is probably the best player in the league when it comes to setting up his teammates. Williams would be lucky to start next season...
