I am kind of surprised he signed with the Bulls, you'd think he would want to stay on a contending team.

Off topic, it is a shame this dude is going to get all of this money yet he can't buy a damn free throw.

Nice signing, but way too much money for him.

I bet Chandler/Malik Allen get traded to New Orleans now for PJ Brown and JR Smith.

Man, the Bulls are going to be scary-good on the defensive end next year, with potentially Wallace, Chandler, AND Tyrus Thomas on their frontline. Though, it's probable Chandler will be moved.

Definitely looks like Tyson Chandler is on his way out the door. Ben Wallace and Tyrus Thomas will make a good duo in the post, who better for Tyrus to learn from than Mr. Wallace?

Words can’t express how ecstatic I am right now. Damn Ben Wallace a Bull!!!!! Damn Big Ben tutoring Tyrus Thomas. I’m already ordering my Big Ben jersey. Yes. I will give more input when I calm down a little. With this move I think we are capable of being one of the top two teams in the Eastern conference next year.

Sweet, over paid or not that guy is 4 time DMVP.

Chandler is certainly gone, but we need a scoring forward/center. Hopefully P.J Brown is an option.

Article also said a trade involving Atlanta (Harrington) and the Warriors.

Great signing for the Bulls. They need to find a taker for Chandler now, but they can solve that later. What a frontline that would be, small but dominating defensively.

I don't get why Ben would leave for 4 million dollars, I guess he saw that the Pistons were on the decline with the roster and salary situationt heyre in, and saw that he could help the Bulls win quick in Chicago with all there great young talent.

I don't think this is a great signing, personally. Ben Wallace doesn't give the Bulls THAT much more than Chandler/Thomas would. Also, without four great offensive players around him, his lack of offense could prevent him from playing significant minutes like he did in Detroit.

Now that I think about this a bit more, it seems that the Bulls basically are swapping 23 year old Tyson Chandler for a 31-year old version of him, and paying 13 million a year for it to boot. I don't get it.

I'm happy we got Wallace. Can't wait to see him in a Bulls uniform. I don't really want Chandler to go for some reason because I want to see what he does this season. But, Wallace is better than him. I hope Wallace returns to his old self though.

Chandler is severly foul prone and only good at coming from the weakside to block shots.
Wallace is something like 4 times a better defender than Chandler. Once we get rid of Chandler we're simply upgrading for around 4 million dollars more. But we get a vastly superior player.

Our defense is one of the best in the league and now it gets even better. True we dont have any front court scorers, but a trade with Chandler might bring some.

not impressed. the bulls need scorers in the low post not 32 year shot blockers/ rebounders that do nothing else.

Tyson Chandler is no where near the same level defensively as Ben Wallace. Wallace is far superior then Chandler in the strength department, and Wallace actually plays sound defense. Chandler gets a good amount of blocks, but mostly because of his athleticism he was near the top of the league in goal tending calls. He also gets into foul trouble quickly. Ben Wallace is a four time defensive player of the year. Chandler is not, nor do I ever think will be at that level. I do think Tyson can be a Marcus Camby type player in the future if he works hard. However, by having Wallace here the next four years we have provided Tyrus Thomas with the best mentor he could ever ask for. We also have arguably the best defensive front line in the league.

We where first in the league in opponent field goal percentage last season imagine how good we are going to be now. To me this move makes us a lock to be one of the top teams in the eastern conference next year. We have taken a big piece from one of last years top two teams, and the Heat are aging quickly. So the east is wide open next year. Dang I still can?t over this move. Also if you consider it we are actually saving 8 million dollars. Since now we will most likely trade Chandler who had a 60 million dollar contract. So we are trading in a lesser player with a bigger contract for Ben Wallace.

We need to trade Chandler now to have money to resign Gordon, Hinrich, and Deng in the future...

I don't think we can keep Chandler, we'll need to have money to resign all our young guns in a couple years.

Btw this is off topic, but isnt Hinrich eligible for a contract offer from the bulls? I havent heard anything about it yet...
