I think it'd be good to keep both chandler and Wallace, but I remember correctly, Chandler has a huge contract. And the Bulls are eventually gonna need the money to resign these young rookie contracts on their team.

Btw this is off topic, but isnt Hinrich eligible for a contract offer from the bulls? I havent heard anything about it yet...</div>
The Bulls and Hinrich have already started contract negotiations. He can sign it on July 12th. Nothing has been announced yet in terms of money and years...

wow! great move by Chicago. Big Ben is going to make them more of an elite team. Not championship status yet but give them 2-3 years and they will get there. I guess the Pistons run is finally over, every one thought they were gonna win it this year but **** happens. Pistons are effed. They still a playoff team but they probably wont go past the second round. Congrats Chicago fans. Sorry Pistons fans.

    GO KINGS!! RESIGN BONZI!!!!

It's in the Raptors forum.. but, there haven't been any reports yet.

BTW, does anyone know if the Ben Wallace thing was verbal or something? Can he still back out of it or something?

Well they can't officially sign until July 12th, but after they make a commitment verbally I don’t recall any event when someone has backed out.

Boozer's case was different. The Cavs had a team option on him, and he told them to let him opt out so that he could resign long term, and he didn't.

I agree with Durvasa here. Big Ben is great and all, but he doesn't really give you anything more than what Chandler gives. Basically, he's Tyson Chandler with more minutes. If they keep both Chandler AND Wallace, then the Bulls might be on to something, butgetting rid of Chandler doesn't really boost their interior defense that much.

Yuck. I don't want to cringe everytime Big Ben goes to teh free throw line. I'm not too happy with this, but at least we now have a shot at the Finals...but gosh I was never a big fan of Ben Wallace and he just looks like a Piston...hm. Number 2 or 1 in the East, never thought it would happen this quick.

Yeah I prefer Chandler too. He's much younger, sure he had back problems, but he was full of energy and maybe this will be the season he breaks out, I'll be sad to see Tyson go...hmm...Knicks...

Most people wouldn't agree though. They do the same things, but Wallace does it much better than Chandler. BKS basically explained it earlier. Wallace is stronger than Chandler. He doesn't foul when he tries to block shots like Chandler. And does score more than Chandler... not much though.

Yes it does. Are you saying Chandler is DPOY quality? Chandler is not even 2nd defensive team quality. How can you say that he doesnt bring more than Chandler.
If we keep both Wallace and Chandler then hwo do we resign our younger players?
