<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MrJ:</div><div class="quote_post"> Who can the Bulls get for Chandler who won't restrict their financial plans down the road?</div> Jalen Rose from the Knicks lol. Honestly, though there are plenty of options they can explore to trade Chandler. Like I said before the current rumor is for PJ Brown and JR Smith. If that deal goes down PJ Brown will retire soon, and JR Smith has a small contract anyway.
Anyone who thinks Chandler is comprable to Wallace has been playing too much NBA Live, because that is the only place that he compares. This was a great signing if you ask me, especially since now they have a mentor for Thomas and an upgrade for Chandler which makes him expendable.
MrJ here are some options for Tyson Chandler trades... <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">One potential opportunity, according to sources, is New Orleans, which is mulling a Chandler-for-P. J. Brown swap. Brown is in the last year of his contract, which would give the Bulls even more cap relief next season. The Bulls also have explored Chandler trade scenarios with the Hawks (via an Al Harrington sign-and-trade) and the Warriors. </div> http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2508742
With Big Ben, Sefalosha and Tyrus Thomas coming in, I don't think its unrealistic for the Bulls to have the League's best defense next season.

I am really intrigued by the Chandler for Rose trade. Isiah might go for it?
As I said in the Pistons forum, I prepared myself for this, so I'm not too shocked to see him leave. I would rather see him leave than have us over pay him, he simply isnt worth a max contract, not based on his recent efforts. Also Chicago have always been a favourite team of mine, probally my second favourite team if I had to pick one (jumped on the Jordan bandwagon back in the day), so I'm glad Ben went to you guys instead of elsewhere. I think we'll go after Joel Pryzbilla now, who can replace Ben's shot blocking/rebounding output, and is alot younger. I think he would develop well on our team. The Bulls now have a very scary team, I'm tipping Eastern Conference finals (I want to get in early, lol): C - Ben Wallace PF - Tyrus Thomas / Tyson Chandler SF - Luol Deng / Andres Nocioni SG - Ben Gordon / Thabo Sefolosha PG - Kirk Hinrich / Chris Duhon *shivers*
Chandler will most likely be gone now. C - Wallace/Brown (assumption of trade with Chandler) PF - Thomas/Malik Allen SF - Deng/Nocioni SG - Gordon/Thabo PG - Hinrich/ Duhon With a lineup similar to that, could be a lot 59 to 60 score lines.

They are very good rebounders, you can even make the argument of Chandler being better averaging 2 less boards in 10 less minutes on a much better rebounding team. Offensively, they're both pretty bad and defensively, Wallace is better than Chandler, but not by a ridiculous margin. I don't know why the Hornets would want Chandler when they have Hilton Armstrong, Cedric Simmons, and David West. I think they're also trying to stay within cap range and after signing Peja, Chandler would restrict them financially. He would get paid a whole lot of money at PF/C, a position already occupied with the three named above, meaning his minutes wouldn't be too good for the money he is making. Don't get me wrong, I don't think this is a "bad" signing, I just don't think it's a "great one".
My understanding is Hilton will be playing C, starting or backing up either PJ Brown or Tyson Chandler (based on rumours) for the Hornets.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting NTC187:</div><div class="quote_post">My understanding is Hilton will be playing C, starting or backing up either PJ Brown or Tyson Chandler (based on rumours) for the Hornets.</div> Reports have said that Scott wants to limit Brown's playing time to 15-20 minutes per game, and mentor Armstrong and Simmons.
This could either be a great signing or a bust. We don't know how Ben will perform outside of Detroit were he made his name. I don't think it will be a great signing but if I'm wrong the Bulls are gnnabe one hell of a team.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting I-Miss-MJ:</div><div class="quote_post">The Fro to Chi-town. Finally got a player with a 'fro.</div> We had Eddy Curry. He put his fro out from time to time then got his head shaved.

According to ESPN the deal is actually 60 million over 4 years with a starting salary of 14 mil. Is it still a good deal? http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2508742
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting I-Miss-MJ:</div><div class="quote_post"> Finally got a player with a 'fro.</div> Artis Gilmore had a fro. Anyway, I’m more pumped than ever for the start of the season, and we are not done yet. Paxson still might make some more moves before the start of the season. I can’t remember being this excited for a season, since we drafted Elton Brand. I still think we should add some role players, preferable veterans who can still play, to the team. Guys I’m looking at are Mohammed, PJ Brown (in Chandler trade), and others. If they don’t give Paxson the GM of the year award this season something's wrong. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">According to ESPN the deal is actually 60 million over 4 years with a starting salary of 14 mil. Hopefully Ben will do just as good in Chicago as he did with the Pistons. He dropped about 2 rpg from last season and from the season before. I'm happy as long as he can be dominant on the defensive end.
Man Bulls are gonna be good. They did good against Heat in the first round. Now they have Ben Gordon, Hinrich, Deng, Tyrus Thomas and Big Ben. killer lineup.. They'll get past first round for sure.
Who on the Warriors would we have been looking to trade Chandler for? The article says that the Hornets are mulling the Chandler/Brown trade...makes it sound like we offered it already. article on the Chandler and Brown trade proposal. Apparently it is close to happening. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2508889
