<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Best Kept Secret:</div><div class="quote_post">My thoughts exactly these same people would be singing a completely different tune if Big Ben had resigned with Detroit...</div> Well of course we would. It was a win/win situation for us either way, we either retain our premier centre, or we save ourselves alot of money and still head into next season with a good team. I'm telling you guys now, losing Big Ben wont hurt this team as much as you think. You know these guys, look at how we went this season, we used the loss to San Antonio to push out our best season on record, now we have everyone doubting us, I'm sure we'll be able to use this to our advantage.

But, it still hurts your team, because do you think the Pistons can win the NBA Finals without Wallace, if they didn't last season with him.
honestly.....its a big deal that we lost ben, but with the 3 remaining all stars we have, and the steadily improving tayshaun prince, veterans antonio mcdyess and lindsey hunter coming off the bench. i think we are easily still a 50 win team. We might struggle with other teams more, but i say we are still a contender for the top 3 seeds in the east.
Ben kind of in a way betraded detroit with this deal but he gots to getthat money. It's sad to see a player who can't hit a free throw get 52 million.
