Best case scenario is we sign Paul Pierce and Josh Howard in 2007. That gives us a great starting lineup and still leaves us with depth. PG- Jameer Nelson (consistent option on offense if needed) SG- Paul Pierce (Dwight's supporting superstar) SF- Josh Howard (defensive stopper) PF- Dwight Howard (franchise player) C- Darko Milicic (interior defense) That would be a championship roster when you take into account that Jameer, Josh, Dwight, and Darko would all be in their primes. We would also have Redick coming off the bench and he would be in his prime. I think this lineup would be a perenial contender.
Well I meant for each player. Like Dwight Howard-25 14 and 3 blocks Jameer Nelson 18 and 6 JJ Redick 15 2 2 Darko 14 8 Hedo 18 4 4
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting GatorsowntheNCAA:</div><div class="quote_post">Well I meant for each player.</div> Oh ok, here are my individual best case scenarios. Dwight Howard - 26 PPG, 15 RPG, 3 BPG Best case scenario player comparison: Kevin Garnett (all around beast) Jameer Nelson - 21 PPG, 6 APG, 1.5 SPG Best case scenario player comparison: Allen Iverson (small guard who can score, but less explosive and can share the ball) J.J. Redick - 16 PPG, 2 RPG, 4 APG Best case scenario player comparison: Reggie Miller (three point shot) Hedo Turkoglu - 19 PPG, 5 RPG, 3 APG Best case scenario player comparison: Jerry Stackhouse (role player who can score) Darko Milicic - 16 PPG, 8 RPG, 3.5 BPG Best case scenario player comparison: Marcus Camby (defense and decent scoring)
BKS: Dwight- 24 PPG, 16 RPG, 5 APG, 3.5 BPG Jameer- 21 PPG, 11 APG, 6 RPG Hedo- 20 PPG, 5 APG, 6 RPG JJ- 15 PPG, 4 APG, 4 RPG Darko- 18 PPG, 10 RPG, 6 APG, 5 BPG This is each individual stat for each player maximized, imo. I think that's the purpose of this thread?
I can never see Jameer Nelson averaging 11 assists since he isn't a pure distributing point guard. Also 6 rebounds is a lot for a point guard, especially one his size.
Dwight Howard - 24ppg, 14rpg, 5apg, 3bpg Jameer Nelson - 19ppg, 4rpg, 8apg, 1.8spg JJ Redick - 16ppg, 3rpg, 4apg Darko Milicic - 15ppg, 8rpg, 3bpg Hedo Turkoglu - 18ppg, 4rpg, 4apg
Best case scenario would be Dwight Howard, Jameer Nelson, and JJ Redick developing into players that they are suppose to be. Dwight in the post averging 24-26 a game and with Jameer and JJ being guys who Dwight can kick it out to.
Dwight Howard - 25ppg, 13rpg, 3apg, 3bpg Jameer Nelson - 21ppg, 3rpg, 9apg, 2.5spg JJ Redick - 18ppg, 3rpg, 4apg, 3spg Darko Milicic - 17ppg, 9rpg, 3bpg Hedo Turkoglu - 17ppg, 6rpg, 5apg
Dwight Howard- Best case scenario for Howard is he develops into a stronger version of Kevin Garnett. He has the capability of averaging about 25 points and 14-15 rebounds in his prime in my opinion. He will be the centerpiece of the Magic organization for the next decade (and more) if they decide to resign him. The Magic cannot let him get away like stars of the past have. Jameer Nelson- Jameer Nelson has been one of my favorite players ever since he was at Saint Joes he is just one of the greatest floor leaders I have ever seen, and his story is just inspirational. I think he was the best point guard from his draft class despite what some people may say about guys like Shaun Livingston. In his prime, I think he might be able to average about 21 points and eight assists. If Jammer changes his, game and chooses to become more of a setup man 18 and 10. JJ Redick- I really do not think he will ever be a star in the league. Not even, he does according to an interview he did, but I think he will be a solid shooter in the future. He will be able to score double-digit points, because of all the looks he will get when other teams double-team Dwight Howard. As long as he plays with a big man, he should succeed. I can see him averaging about 14 points a game. Darko Milicic- Darko will be a solid defensive player in the future, he is already a great shot blocker, but I do not see him ever becoming a dominant offensive player. I think he might be able to get 12-15 points, but his biggest impact will come from the defensive side of the ball. Hedo Turkoglu- Hedo I don’t see improving much he has been in the league a while now, and he is what he is. A solid scorer, but not a superstar or all star by any means. I think he will be a solid spark for the Magic off the bench for a couple more seasons, but I do not think he is part of their long term plan. After the 07’ off-season depending who Orlando brings in I think his playing time will diminish significantly, and he might get traded by 08’.
Best Case Scenario is that all of them help this team contend. That is when it all comes down to it, the common goal.
Theres lots of wishful thinking on this thread. Like I doubt Jameer Nelson will average 21 points and 9 assists. He isn't like Jason Kidd was a couple years back, and he's sure no Steve Nash. (At least not yet.) Hedo won't average more than 15 points. Lets just hope that JJ stays healthy, Darko develops his game, and Dwight turns into the player we expect him to be.
