Jones, 29, averaged 6.7 points and 2.1 assists in 82 games with the Cavaliers this season. He shot just 38.7 percent from the field last year and 37.7 percent from the 3-point line.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pounder has three years remaining on his original four-year, $16.1 million contract.

The addition of draft picks Shannon Brown of Michigan State and Daniel Gibson of Texas made Jones expendable.</div>

I honestly don't know who would want Jones, especially with him coming off of a bum season.

Denver could. And they REALLY need a 3 PT shooter, so I think they would take a shot at him.

Yeah, Phoenix always wants to add another 3 point shooter. And I've heard Denver fans wanting a 3 point shooter, but he doesn't have as much interest because he came of a poor season.

If Miami had something to offer, they could trade him back there I guess.

Man I got love for DJ, I like him alot but the problem Cleveland has is that they vastly overpaid him, so its going to be difficult to trade him. His shooting has proven to be overrated since the 05 playoffs where he was a no show against Detriot/Miami series. He cant defend and isnt really a ball handler or playmaker. The best thing DJ has going for him is that he is a great character guy, the type of teammatte that keeps the locker room loose and fun for your star players. That is why he got along so well with Shaq and Wade in Maimi and last year with James. But I dont think a team is going to be willing to take the 16 mill he has left just because he has great character.

I dont see him fitting in well with Denver because they realistically need either a point or a two, no more combo guards. There is a reason why most guys are combo guards now-a-days and it isnt because they are extra talented at playing both positions either. Most guys now are combo guards to hide their weakness. Denver already has one of those type of new age combo guards, Earl Boykins. On offense he is a two guard really casue he isnt a play maker, just a scorer and on defense he is a point guard cause he is to small to even think about guarding two's, so adding Jones would be the same thing imo. They need either a legit point guard or a legit two guard.

PHX, is a good fit basketball wise because he wouldnt be asked to do anything else but shoot. They already have ball handlers in Nash, Barbosa and even Diaw can create plays as a big. And they already have a defined two guard in Bell, so all they would want Jones for is a shooting weapon. But they dont need him as a shooting weapon, they already have guys that can shoot it Nash, Bell, Marion, so he would be a plus more than a need. So I doubt that would take on that type of contract just for a guy they would use in an Eddie House type role.

Well, Jones didn't get much playing time at all this season. Maybe, we can play him and shop him at the same time? At the break we trade him for a expiring.
