<div class="quote_poster">Quoting SP23:</div><div class="quote_post">Hey BKS, is Brown mostly a PF?</div> Brown played power forward for the Hornets for a number of years along side Magloire. After the Magloire trade, with the emerging of David West he was restricted mostly to center minutes, but to be honest he was being used out of position. He is a natural power forward to me. He played it for a majority of his career.
now all we need a decent power forward with a post-game. Who can we get????? i wanted Nene but it looks like thats not going to happen and i was hoping we would be able to get him for cheap
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">where does JR Smith fit in this team?</div> It all depends. It’s going to depend on whether we get rid of Chris Duhon, and the willingness he shows to come to camp, work hard, commit to defense, and show the humility to learn and be humble. Right now to be honest with you despite his potential I don’t see much of a future for him as a Bull. He needs to come and work hard, then maybe I will change my opinion.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Best Kept Secret:</div><div class="quote_post">We can?t get much in return for JR Smith unless we intend on eating into our cap room a little. His contract is extremely small considering he is still on his rookie contract, he makes less than a million a year. We might have to package some players together. Although, there contracts don?t have to match, because we are under the cap. I don?t think the team wants to hurt our chances of landing one of the big fish in the 07? free agent class.</div> we also don't need much in return for Smith either.
I like this trade for both teams. Chicago gets a solid big man who has been consistent for years, and a young player who has potential to be pretty good. NO gets Chandler who isn't a bad player, I think a change of scenery will be good for Tyson, playing alongside Chris Paul should be fun for him as well. Chicago is putting in work though, I am definitely impressed. They already had a pretty good young team, all they did was make it better now instead of in the future.
Yeah, Tyson will surely average more points on CP's team, this is good for both clubs. Bulls get what they need, a leader and an expierienced PF (thats good) and Hornets get a young, talented (but overpaid) big man, for an old guy and a cocky young player who cant play organised basketball, IMO.

Brown and guard J.R. Smith from the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets in exchange for forward/center Tyson Chandler. ?We really welcome the veteran leadership that P.J. will bring to our team. He brings a consistent game at both ends of the floor and we will be counting on his production in helping us improve as a team,? said Bulls Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations John Paxson. ?We also really appreciate all Tyson did for us during his five years here in Chicago. He was an integral part in our growth as an organization and it is always difficult to trade away a player who has been with our organization for a long time. We wish him and his family the best of luck,? Paxson added.
