When I first looked at it I thought we had Jay Williams, but then I noticed this Jay was a forward. Anyway, no real big name undrafted free agents, but I?m excited to see how Tyrus and Sefolosha do. I hope they air some games on WGN.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TheFreshPrince:</div><div class="quote_post">do u guys think that JR will be one there?</div> Possible the big reason he wasn?t going to participate in the Hornets summer league was because he knew they where going to trade him. I expect him to be on the roster. They said it?s subject to change.
I hope JR is on there, they'll have a pretty good summerleague team with all these young guys, Aaron Miles would be a good backup PG on any team and Tiras Wade could be a contributor like Mo Evans was in Sacramento and Detroit. I hope NBA TV broadcasts some games on TV so I can see how they do.
I thought the same thing with Jason Williams. Good to see Darth Schenscher - The Shaq Killer sticking around.
Nice to finally see the roster. I hope J.R. does, he's going to have to show Skiles something to get some playing time. If he doesn't I'm guessing Skiles will be pretty pissed.
I don’t know if JR Smith will participate in this summer camp. The deal is expected to be approved on July 12th. However, the camp starts on July 10th. If he was to participate he will miss the first two games of the camp. the Bulls participate in multiple summer camps though so he will get his chance.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting SP23:</div><div class="quote_post">Are the Bulls going to be in any other leagues after this one?</div> I will let you know when I find out. Two years ago, when we drafted Gordon as well as Deng, we didn?t this past off season because we really had no draft picks. I think we only participated in one. The only guys we had on the roster that where actually expected to be on the roster at the time where Basden and possibly Reiner. I think we will be in multiple leagues this season.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TheFreshPrince:</div><div class="quote_post">do u guys think that JR will be one there?</div>I think it's possible he gets on one. However, it won't be til near the end of the Summer League season. He can't officially be a Bull until July 12th.
Some quick information all our summer league games will be broadcasted live through streaming video on orlandomagic.com starting July 10th at 3:00 EST.
Some quick information all our summer league games will be broadcasted live through streaming video on orlandomagic.com starting today at 3:00 EST. This will be the first opportunity to see what Tyrus Thomas has got. Given summer league is not nearly as high a level as regular season. It does give you some type of insight into just how developed a player?s offensive/defensive game is. Before it starts, I just want to say no one should judge Tyus Thomas or Thabo Sefolosha if they struggle in summer league. Ben Gordon played horrible in the summer league when he participated as a rookie, and people like Salmons, Baxter, Rush, etc dominated the summer leagues, but none have yet to reach an all star level in the NBA.
I can't wait to see the Bulls in action today. The Bulls game starts at 3:00PM. Tyrus Thomas will most likely be matched up against Danny Granger of the Pacers so that should be interesting to watch. I can't wait for these games to start because I've been dying to watch some basketball since the Finals ended. Here is a complete schedule of the Summer League games that will be airing on OrlandoMagic.com: Full Schedule
I have to say this is a major disappointment no commentating, no announcers saying who just made the shot, no nothing. If you do not know who the player is you aren’t going to know. I will say one thing though Tyrus need to get some air under his shot he was blocked taking a jump shot.
Yeah, I saw him get blocked. Thabo missed both free throws. Thomas had that nice offensive rebound for a bucket and the foul. I just open the window with the players numbers and look at whos on the floor, then I just put fullscreen.
Aaron Miles showing some real good skills for us right now. He is the best player on the court right now from what I can see.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting SP23:</div><div class="quote_post">Thomas has been pretty bad <strike>with his back to the basket so far.</strike></div> Thomas has just been bad. He missed two jumpers and two wide open layups. He has done a good job on the boards, but other than that he has played horrible. He just made a nice dunk though. Where down by one 47-46 going into half time.
