<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AlleyOop:</div><div class="quote_post">Fact or Fiction: Monta Ellis will make the rookie/soph game.</div> Fiction. Unless Baron or Jason go down with injuries for a significant stretch before the all star break, Monta is not going to get enough playing time to warrant a spot. Even if he did get the playing time, I don't know if he could take a spot from Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Raymond Felton, Luther Head, or Nate Robinson. Fact or Fiction: The Warriors will win 40+ games next year.
...oh nuts...I'd had a couple of brews and am too lazy to do the whole process. Mullin will bailout on Monty by christmas unless Monty shows major new skills and insight. POB will get minutes and make progress but will be sharing C. I feel quite confident murphy could adapt to C,but that requires a coaching change and a period of adjustment. Even if the final outcome is Murphy gets swapped-him looking good at C ups his market value BIG TIME. I have little confidence Dun-Bunny ever delivers with enough consistancy to merit a starting role. I'm much more optimistic that Pietrus can patch up his game and Start-maybe star. Monty seems real addicted to his "system" and his system is so ill-suited to this roster that at BEST ...its just a handicap. Fact or Fiction- 5 years from now Monta is about equal to Chris Paul or Raymond Felton at PG.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting REREM:</div><div class="quote_post">Fact or Fiction- 5 years from now Monta is about equal to Chris Paul or Raymond Felton at PG.</div> Fiction -- I'd say more like Steve Nash / Dwayne Wade Fact or Fiction - Baron Davis will play in 75+ games next year.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AlleyOop:</div><div class="quote_post">Fiction -- I'd say more like Steve Nash / Dwayne Wade Fact or Fiction - Baron Davis will play in 75+ games next year.</div> Fiction. It'll be his: back or achilles heel or shoulder or ankle or duodenum or cochlear nerve or posterior temporal gyrus or his left nut that will suddenly sideline him for the majority of the year. He'll be more injury prone than Nordberg in the Naked Gun movies or that Jack Hannah guy that always gets attacked by animals. Fact or Fiction: The Warriors hold teams under 45% fg on defense.

Fact or Fiction: If Murphy leaves, someone else on the team will step up and average double-digit rebounds next year.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AlleyOop:</div><div class="quote_post">Fact or Fiction: If Murphy leaves, someone else on the team will step up and average double-digit rebounds next year.</div> Fiction. None of the big men on the team will separate themselves enough to get more than 30 minutes a night, it's going to be pf and c by committee. But, I do think that committee will give us a double double at the pf and c spots most nights. Fact or Fiction: Andris Biedrins will be the Warriors starting center after the allstar break.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting wtwalker77:</div><div class="quote_post">Fact or Fiction: Andris Biedrins will be the Warriors starting center after the allstar break.</div> I'm going to have to go Fact on that one, Walker. Why? Beacuse I actually think he'll be the starter before the break. If it was most any other coach, he'd probably start on opening day. Instead, Monty will go with the aging vet for the opener. But I predict that Biedrins will flat out earn that job 20 games into the season. Fact or Fiction: Baron Davis will lead the league in assists next year.

Okay, I mean it this time... .500% or Bust!! <div class="quote_poster">Quoting custodianrules2:</div><div class="quote_post">Fact or Fiction: The Warriors will keep Zarko Cabarkapa.</div> Nice one. Hmm. Well, personally I love Zarko. He's a Harlem Globetrotter in a 7-foot Serbian body. He causes wonderful match-up problems. I'd love to keep him as a reserve, but the "bigs" are a pretty crowded stable right now. We need to make room for a good SF. Hoepfully they can keep him as an inexpensive bench player, but in the long run, I'd have to say... Fiction. Fact or Fiction: Charles Barkely will rave about the Warriors progress at least once on TNT this year.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AlleyOop:</div><div class="quote_post">Fact or Fiction: Charles Barkely will rave about the Warriors progress at least once on TNT this year.</div> Fiction. The only person in the history of nba analysts that is less informed than Charles Barkely is Fred Carter (reading his espn.com chats gave me hope that I could one day be one of the worst coaches in nba history, and then retire and start a lucrative career as an nba analyst). The Warriors will have to make the playoffs and win a series before Barkely compliments them or even does any research on them. Fact or Fiction: No more than three of the Warriors young bigs will be on the roster five years from now.

Fiction. The chances of that happening are the cahnces of my own cheesecake walking up to me and telling me that he is made of blue cheese. T/F: Fisher will do good against us with Utah.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting CABANGBANG:</div><div class="quote_post">T/F: Fisher will do good against us with Utah.</div> Fact. Fisher will bust out the first game with a triple-dub, and just go crazy like AI on us. He'll win the game on a last second, emphatic, rim-rockin thunder jam as he breaks the glass on JRich's chrome dome, and then does a little hip-dance as he stands over the fallen JRich. Then he'll flip off the crowd and moonwalk out of the building. No wait. Lemme change that. Fiction. Fish will ride the pine against us, and be the richest back-up PG in the history of the NBA. ----------------------------------- Fact or Fiction: JRich averages more PPG than Michael Redd next year.
Fact, is Baron stays healthy he will rack up the assists to J-Rich. F/F: The Warriors trade for Kevin Garnett.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AlleyOop:</div><div class="quote_post"> Fact or Fiction: JRich averages more PPG than Michael Redd next year.</div> No way! Fiction.
