<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Austin Croshere's career with the Indiana Pacers appears to be over.

The Pacers have agreed to trade Croshere to the Dallas Mavericks for guard Marquis Daniels, according to people with knowledge of the situation.
The deal can't become official until July 12 when teams can complete trades and free agent signings.

Croshere was the longest-tenured Pacer, spending nine seasons with the team. He became expandable with the addition of draftee Shawne Williams and with the Pacers trying to become more athletic. Croshere is also entering the final year of his contract. He averaged 7.5 points and 4.3 rebounds during his career with the Pacers</div>

Great trade for the Pacers. A young player that can play positions 1-3. Good for pacers and bad for Mavs. Still can't believe we got rid of him for an aginf Crocherre

I love Daniels. Great trade for Indiana.

This trade also makes Fred Jones expendable.

Darn, good trade for both teams. Financially for the Mavs while otherwise for the Pacers. This crosses out the rumors of Daniels to toronto.

Marquis Daniels will be a nice addition to the Pacers. He should be starting at the small forward spot. But, on the other side of the deal the Mavs get an expiring contract, and he is a solid big man, something they needed.

I think it's a nice move. He can take Peja's spot in the line-up and can do more then him other then the offensive end. He puts another big body. He has shown flashes of what he could do as a player that gets consistent starters minutes.

If Marquis plays small forward, wouldn't there be a logjam at that position with Danny Granger and Shawne Williams? Maybe one of the last two will play Power Forward and shift O'Neal to center?

Trade either Tinsley/Johnson or Jackson, then start Marquis at either that pg or sg spot. If Indy gets Harrington, they could have...

    PG Daniels
    SG Jackson
    SF Granger
    PF Harrington
    C O'Neal

That lineup would be really athletic and fun to watch (of course a bit small). The Pacers are going to be awesome. Now I'm more excited about the Pacers over the Bulls, wow. I love Marquis, as long as he gets the minutes, he should break out this year. I'm sad Marquis has left the Mavs, I thought him and Josh would have been a killer 2 punch in a few yrs...
