Asked later about how he had characterized Skiles, Chandler told the Sun-Times: ''I wish our communication level could have been better. But I always point the finger at myself first. Scott's a great coach, as good as any when it comes to X's and O's. ''I'm never a person who will take shots at anybody unwarranted. I really dont consider this a parting shot. But Chandler shouldnt have said anything about the bulls considering the way he played last season. The reason is that anything that he would say about chicago would be thought to be out of antimosity. But I bid farewell to the Tall thin Dude. Go Bulls!!!
There were other articles about Skiles saying his doors always open, but that doesn't mean you should always be able to come in... Anyhow, Chandler did point the finger at himself, and said he played poorly last season.
Not really parting shots in my opinion, he spoke his mind. He did not curse out Skiles, and call him a bad coach. Skiles does seem sort of like an intimidating figure. He reminds me of my freshman basketball coach. He would always ask everyone after practice if we had any thing to say we can come to him, or say it there and then, but he was somewhat intimidating so no one ever said anything. This further increases my thought that Smith will not succeed in Chicago.
