<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Last season, Pierce frequently said he wanted to retire a Celtic and see his No. 34 raised to the rafters. Downtime in LA this summer might have changed his perspective slightly. Plus, watching Walker win a championship with the Miami Heat also made Pierce think more critically about the direction of his career. ``You get a chance to come home and be around your family and I've got people coming at me from all type of sides," said Pierce. ``I've got people telling me this is what you need to do. A lot of people say, `You need to be in LA, you won't win a championship in Boston' and `by the time y'all [in Boston] are ready, you'll be retired.' It does get to you at times and it's something to think about."</div>

well, i got this off another forum, which got it off hoopshype. anyways, im glad to hear pierce wants to come to LA, but as a laker or a clipper? even if he wants to be a laker, i doubt we have enough pieces to get him. unless we offer lamar odom......

I'd love to have Pierce with the Lakers if the pieces fit and things fall into place that way.

He is negotiating an extension with the Celtics right now. If he really did say that (where did those quotes come from?), then he's probably trying to scare Danny Ainge into a larger offer.

I don't think this is out of reach considering Brian Grant's large and unnecessary contract is finally going to be out of the books next season.

....Paul Pierce on the Lakers? Don't really like it. We already have Kobe unless we are putting one or the other at a SF position (if we traded Odom to get him).

    forget pierce, let's get lebron

he accepted a deal w/ the cavs for only 4 years and 60 million, and he can opt out after the 3rd year. time to save up cap space for 2009-2010!!!
