<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Hollins, picked 50th overall, combines leaping ability, footspeed and agility rarely seen from players of his size. How athletic is he? He competed in the high jump, long jump and triple jump as a freshman at UCLA before choosing to concentrate on basketball. Hollins? talents remind many of NBA veteran Marcus Camby. ?I?ve heard that pretty much my whole life with me being long, athletic, thin-framed, blocking shots, rebounding and hitting the mid-range shot,? Hollins said. As you could imagine, a 7-footer with that sort of jumping ability makes him a crowd-pleasing dunker. He?s won dunk contests with his versions of dunks made famous by longtime NBA All-Star Vince Carter. ?That?s true,? Hollins said of the Carter comparisons. ?I do the 360 (degree) windmill, the windmill jump from the free throw line, two feet from the free throw line or one foot. Really, whatever you want.? With all these abilities and talents, how could Hollins drops all the way to the 50th pick of the second round of a draft many experts consider the thinnest in league history? At UCLA, Hollins rarely if ever showed consistent offensive production. He averaged 5.7 points in 113 career games, peaking out at 7.0 this season as the Bruins finished as NCAA runnerup to Florida. Hollins understands. That?s why he wasn?t surprise he lasted into the second round of the draft. ?I could?ve easily gone in the first round,? Hollins said. ?But I didn?t think it would go past 50 because I know I had a great workout here (in Charlotte). The Bobcats said they didn?t expect me to be here. But I?ve definitely happy to be here.? Bickerstaff certainly sees promise in Hollins, who regularly wowed teammates, coaches and media alike with his leaping ability in mini-camp workouts. ?It?s going to take some time,? Bickerstaff said. ?But the best thing about is that he comes in and listens. He came in during his workout and asked questions. Most guys come into their draft workouts and just try to show you what they can do. But he was asking questions and trying to improve.? Hollins isn?t the only player the Bobcats want to see improvement from. Bickerstaff said the team will want to see how veterans Sean May, Alan Anderson and Kevin Burleson play together with Morrison. </div> link: http://www.newbernsj.com/SiteProcessor.cfm...&Section=Sports

^lol naw naw, off two feet at the FT line. NBA would have to give him the trophy before ASW 07 even started.

Well from what I understood, the Magic did pick Hollins, then traded him to Charlotte. I may be wrong though.
Hollins will have his chance to flourish with the Bobcats because out of all their young front court members, he's the only true center. May and Okafor are more power forwards then centers.
