if the signing of shammond indeed is true, our roster will look something like this:

    C: Kwame, Mihm, Bynum
    PF: Odom, Cook, Turiaf
    SF: Vlad, Walton
    SG: Kobe, Evans, Sasha
    PG: Smush, Farmar, Mckie, Shammond

thats already 15 players. which means 0 roster spot for anyone else in SPL (guys like pinnock, green, or wafer). so unless we trade away some players in a 2 for 1 deal, or make cuts, then this is how our roster will look like. everyone else will have to play in the NBDL. oh yeah, i also forgot, we also have laron profit. itll be interesting to see how this will pan out.

Danilo Pinnock is a very good player just another case of coming out early, I think he should play and what happened to our pickup last year, Devin Green?

pinnock is a pretty good player given his success so far in the summer league. although it is only the summer league, so we shouldnt really judge him just yet. as for devin green? i dont think he is under a contract. i could be wrong though......

I'm not going to worry too much about the lack of roster spots. If need be, we have plenty of expiring contracts to trade in a 2 for 1 type of deal (McKie, Cook, etc.). Personally, I don't want Shammond Williams to come and eat that last roster spot. But...with Mitch's track record....well, we know what kind of moves he manages to make.

It is still yet to verify whether we'll sign Shammond Williams or not. Today Mitch's interview on 570AM, the host asked Mitch regarding the Shammond issue but he said he can't comment on that. However he did mention that the Lakers are still looking to find a vet PG and that he mentioned that veteran PG can defend, which mean it may or may not be Shammond. I'm thinking of a Lindsey Hunter or Tony Delk here or maybe even Penny Hardaway.

if he is going to sign a defensive minded point guard, then that definetly means it wont be shammond. shammond cant play D for his life

You took the words right out of my mouth. Expiring Contracts for a trade... I dont know anything about this Shammond Williams kid either.. From what I hear, I'd prefer him off the books too.
