There have been some rumors on the net that the Warriors have inquired about Iverson. They told the Sixers to pick any three players they wanted, but not J rich and Davis together. Supposedly the Sixers have asked for Jason Richardson, Ike Diogu, and Troy Murphy. I think that's a hell of a deal for Iverson. The rumor was supposedly leaked by Kyle Korver. He told some people that Iverson was heading out west, while attending a basketball camp. It was then later confirmed by Hoopshype. I'll try to find some confirmation on this rumor.
When I heard about the 3 players we could pick from GS, I thought about combos like the one you said. I would do the J-Rich/Diogu/Murphy trade in a second. If I were BK, and if this was the best deal, I would so do this. What about Davis though instead of J-Rich? Don`t we already have to athletic shooters in Carney and Iggy?
^^and injury wise. davis' shot selection is horrid, and he's always hurt. j-rich at the 2 and iggy at the 3 would be sick.
Although having Jason Richardson would be nice, the deal will probably have to include Baron Davis. One deal that would work would be Baron Davis, Ike Diogu, Andris Biedrins, and a draft pick for Allen Iverson (Check). Jason Richardson would probably mean that either Andre Iguodala would play the point (as he did in college at times) or we would bring Carney off the bench. A deal that would work for Jason Richardson would be Richardson, Diogu, and Troy Murphy for Allen Iverson (Check). When it's all said and done I can see either us taking on Baron Davis, which I wouldn't mind. Or getting a third party involved in the deal to take Jason Richardson.
I don’t know about you guys, but if we could have any combination of three players (outside of Richardson and Davis in one deal) I would really like to get Ellis here to Philadelphia. If we could have three players, my ideal three would be Ike, Ellis, and Richardson. That gives us a young big man, and a promising young point guard, as well as an established star in Richardson. Throw in some future picks, and thats a good deal. I wonder if the Wolves would be interested in a trade involving Foye though.
Richardson is overrated IMO. I would take Ike, Bedrins, Baron Davis and a future pick if it was up to me. Personally, I think Bedrins will be a hell of a player down the road, and Davis gives us a younger PG to hold down the star role until the young players mature

Ike and Ellis are still under their rookie contracts.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TheFreshPrince:</div><div class="quote_post">i think we will keep foye, but maybe mike james and ricky davis?</div> James hasn?t been signed by the Wolves yet, and if he is a trade can not be arranged until December. There would be no reason for the 76ers to acquire either of those players James is 31 and would likely be signed a big deal by the Wolves and Davis is not exactly a star. The 76ers need pieces to rebuild with not lesser veterans with big contracts.
Iverson+Webber for Davis+Murphy+Pietrus+future pick. Not sure if salaries work, but Davis and Murphy have big salaries, some fillers might need to be traded to make it work. PG: Iverson/Ellis/McLeod SG: Richardson/Brown SF: Dunleavy/Brown/FA/Owens PF: Webber/Diogu/Taft -C: Biendris/Foyle/O'Bryant Sixers PG: Davis/Ollie/FA SG: Iguodala/Pietrus SF: Carney/Korver/Jons PF: Murphy/FA/Randolph -C: Dalembert/Hunter 3 outstanding defenders on the wings for the Sixers there. I look at this as a very fair deal.
How would Kyler Korver know? What did King come up to him and say, Kyle we are sending AI out west? That doesn't make any sense. I don't believe it.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Smitty:</div><div class="quote_post">What? Lol our frontcourt would be worse that way, I'd rather have Diogu than Pietrus.</div> I think that's the one player the Warriors rather not trade asides from Richardson. This guy is going to be very good in a few seasons
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Air Fresh:</div><div class="quote_post">I don't believe it.</div> As a GS fan, neither do I. First off, I really doubt Mullin just called BK and said "take any 3 players for Iverson". Biedrins, Monta Ellis, and Ike Diogu will be extremely hard to pry away from GS, we wouldnt trade any of them for Artest so I don't see why we'd trade them plus one of our two best players for Iverson. I can see Mullin making an offer like Baron Davis, Troy Murphy, and a player like Pietrus or Cabarkapa and maybe Philly's pick back to them for Iverson and Dalembert. Not saying that either side would accept this trade but I really don't think Mullin would give up any of our young players in a package for Iverson when he wouldnt deal them straight up for Artest. Also, I don't think Mullin or Montgomery wants a Baron/Iverson backcourt, it seems more logical to have an Iverson/Richardson backcourt from a GS perspective.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Smitty:</div><div class="quote_post">What? Lol our frontcourt would be worse that way, I'd rather have Diogu than Pietrus.</div> Troy Murphy is a very underrated player out west. He's only 26 and he put up very productive numbers last year with 14 points and 10 boards. To me, he might be the reason that Billy King is intriged by this deal. Plus he's from the area, Morristown in New Jersey.
I was playing around with the trade checker on realgm, and here is what I've come up with: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Golden State Trade Breakdown Outgoing Baron Davis 6-3 PG from UCLA 17.9 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 8.9 apg in 36.6 minutes Mike Dunleavy 6-9 SF from Duke 11.5 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 2.9 apg in 31.9 minutes Ike Diogu 6-8 PF from Arizona State 7.0 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 0.4 apg in 15.0 minutes Andris Biedrins 6-11 C from Latvia (Foreign) 3.8 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 0.4 apg in 14.6 minutes Incoming Allen Iverson 6-0 PG from Georgetown 33.0 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 7.4 apg in 43.0 minutes Kyle Korver 6-7 SF from Creighton 11.4 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 2.0 apg in 31.2 minutes Steven Hunter 7-0 C from DePaul 6.1 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 0.3 apg in 19.1 minutes Change in team outlook: +10.3 ppg, <font color="#ff0000">-6.4</font> rpg, and <font color="#ff0000">-2.9</font> apg. Golden State and Philadelphia had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.</div> I came up with this just because i want Korver out of a Sixers Uni, and Dunleavy is a much better player than him if you ask me. Also, if the Warriors acquire Harrington, he's the odd man out and would be pushed onto the bench. It works out financially, and we get some young, talented big men back. I threw Hunter in to balance the salaries.
Am I the only one that doesn?t want Davis? The guy spends more time on the IR than on the court, and his contract doesn?t make him any more attractive.
