They have very efficient ball boys. Maybe Trenton Hassell for defense, but that's about all, not like they'd want to make a trade when they don't have to either, and Hassell doesn't make that much anyways (like $4 million).

Minnesota, which also has its exception available, has been trying to land James via sign-and-trade but the Wolves, according to NBA front-office sources, haven't been able to tempt the Raptors with a package featuring swingman Trenton Hassell </div> http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/columns/stor...marc&id=2511802
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting vcwannabe15:</div><div class="quote_post">I thought he was going to Houston?</div> Nah, he wants to go to Houston.
Minnesota gave him more money and guarenteed him the starting line up and a hell of a lot more shots. I can't wait until the day Garnett starts complaining about the # of shots he takes and that opens up new roads for the nba for either mike james or kevin garnett.
If there's one person that can keep James in line, it's Garnett. He's someone you don't want to piss off so I wouldn't be too worried about that.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting vcwannabe15:</div><div class="quote_post">The why did'nt he sign with Houston?</div> houston offered the MLE for 4 yrs...twolves gave him more money... was there ever any doubt that james was going to sign wherever he got the most money?
I thought Minnesota was able to only off him the MLE too? I'm just glad he's gone, he's a great player but not a great fit for this team.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting dj_premium_plus:</div><div class="quote_post">houston offered the MLE for 4 yrs...twolves gave him more money... was there ever any doubt that james was going to sign wherever he got the most money?</div> that and Minny gave him a trade kicker meaning he will receive a certain cash payment (percentage bonus) of his salary if he is traded and he also had a player option. Houston balked at giving him these and Minny gave them to him. I wonder how him and KG will operate together, esp. since KG is pretty much CB4 just older and more rounded. Be interesting to see if James gives up the rock more, KG won't be too happy if he keeps chucking shots like he did in TO....course maybe KG will grap a tonne of O boards too...who knows...it'll be interesting and all the best to Mike James, but I'm glad to see him go was a good player just didn't fit into this years team.
