Great news. Getting Sura back next year would be a nice thing; we really missed his grit and leadership last year.

Dunno about that. This is his 5th knee surgery and he's 33 years old and after a year off he just started to shoot today. If he turns out like Charlie ward's last year it wouldn't be something to look forward to

I think he'll hang it up right before training camp. I just don't see how he'll be able to contribute significantly following major problems with his back AND knees.

I agree. I actually see him retiring.

Even if he does retire i hope he stays on as an assistant coach or something because he brings great competitive spirit and determination to a team and can motivate players and instills toughness upon the team.

I hope Sura comes back for at least one more season, even if it is in a limited role. I have enjoyed Sura's game ever since he was with Cleveland. I remember watching NBA Inside Stuff and every once in a while a pre-injury Sura would be included in the Jam Session part of the show. He always stuck out because he was a short white guy who was very athlethic.

On a Rockets team full of nice guys, they need someone like Sura. Ever since the Dallas game where he tackled Josh Howard, I've always looked at Sura as a Charles Oakley-type of enforcer for the team, even though he really is not a physically intimidating person. This is in addition to his role as motivational leader.

I love it when players stick up for one another, unfortunately it didn't happen very often last season with Sura out [IMG]
