According to a source on hoopshype.com, the only Laker award was given to Kobe Bryant, the Undeniable Performance award for his 81 pt. game and great season.
To be fair, no other Laker did anything that was noteworthy (in the grand scheme of things) last season.
lol, the ONLY laker award. poor laker fans, you only won one espy the lakers win at everything, but the only reason they do is because it all started in minny

That commercial with Kobe and that Kobe fan was a very good commercial for the ESPY's. The Kobe fan was obviously saying that Kobe's' 81 points was unbelievable and Kobe was saying that J-Mac's deserved it the most. Very classy commercial for Kobe to do. As amazing as the 81 points was, I do think J-Mac deserved it more. Did you guys see his face after he won the ESPY? I don't think I've ever seen anyone so happy or excited to win an award. Kobe will get his fair share of ESPY's in his lifetime, so just be happy for J-Mac and his 4 minutes of fame. It's a truly touching story. Just on a side note, the Gators got robbed in the ESPY's. We only had one nominee and that was coach of the year, Billy Donovan. We had an average margin of victory over 12 pts in the entire tourney and just completely dominated everyone(other than Gtown) and we aren't even nominated as best team? I love what the Lady Terps did, but I don't think they shoulda been nominated over us. If Duke or Uconn won the National Championship, they certainly would have been nominated. /Espy Rant
