Why are We in the Summer Pro League Instead of the Vegas League?

    I'm just wondering. Besides us, the only other SPL teams are Memphis and Dallas. Everyone else plays in the Vegas League. Why can't we? The Vegas league is more competitive, there are more teams, which can allow our players to get used to different offensive and defensive schemes, and they can face different players every game.

    Normally it's the other way around, but there was a hold up in negotiations this past summer, so other teams signed up with Vegas. The Lakers will likely always play at Long Beach because it draws a home crowd and gives local Laker fans a chance to watch the new players.
