    July 14: Sixers 88, Sonics 74
The Philadelphia 76ers won their first game at the Rocky Mountain Revue with an 88-74 win against Seatlle. Shavlik Randolph led all scorers with 25 points (4-11 FG, 17-23 FT) and grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds. First round draft pick Rodney Carney added 17 points (8-16 FG) while Louis Williams contributed with 12 points (3-9 FG, 6-6 FT), five rebounds and five assists, and Philadelphia native Steven Smith finished with 13 points (6-13 FG) and five rebounds off the bench.

The Sixers trailed 30-18 after the first quarter as Seattle shot 70.6 percent (12-17 FG) in the opening frame. The 76ers defense buckled down and held the Sonics to just 44 points (15-42, .357 FG%) in the final three quarters.

The Sixers will be back in action on Saturday, July 15, against Utah (9pm ET).

NOTES: Second round draft pick Bobby Jones left the game in the first quarter with 7:39 left to play due to a right hamstring strain… Philadelphia dominated the glass, out-rebounding the Sonice 42-24 overall... The Sixers 18 offensive rebounds led to 17 second chance points… The Sixers trailed by as many as 19 points… Sixers assistant coach John Loyer served as the team’s head coach while Maurice Cheeks observed the game alongside Sixers President Billy King and Senior Vice President of Basketball Operations Tony DiLeo.</div>

Shavlik had a great game with 25 and 13. Carney, Smith, and Williams all had good performances. Hopefully Jones is alright.

Good news, Shavlik Randolph led all scorers with 25 points and Rodney getting some nice points with 17. Also one of the positive is The 76ers defense held the Sonics to just 44 points (15-42, .357 FG%) in the final three quarters.

Nice to see Steven Smith and Rodney Carney do well those are two guys I am really rooting for. On the other hand, you know its summer league when Randolph goes for 25. We have a lot of promising young players to build around in the future, and some solid young guys that will be solid role players for us for a while. Anyone know if these games are being televised or shown through a web cast?

Everyone who slept on Steven Smith will be kicking themselves for not drafting him IMO. He is coming to his local team and now he has something to prove for going undrafted. I see him making a big contribution to the team in the future
