If we get Gooden, then we will most likely use our MLE, right? What the hell happened to Jay Williams?

We were rumored to be getting Gooden in a three-way deal involving Iverson, but I forgot what team Iverson was going to be shipped to in the deal.

This would be, what Gooden's forth team in five years? I rather go out and try to acquire a guy like Chris Wilcox...

Agreed. Although Gooden is a solid player, I think Wilcox is the kind of player we need here. He still has a ton of potential and has shown that he can contribute if he gets the chance. I think he'll be a beast. If we let Iverson go, I want someone like him in exchange for him.

I'd take Wilcox over Gooden as well, but I wouldn't mind signing Gooden at all. He is a tough nosed, defensive guy who REBOUNDS.

Wilcox wants too much money, ten million a year for a person who has yet to show any ability to be a star in the league? No thanks it would be Samuel Dalembert version 2.0. Overpaying based on nothing more than potential.

Gooden wants the same kind of money though. He is looking for "Nene money," which is about 10 mil per.
