Wow.. so you think Zo is coming back for selfish reasons just so he can enhance his legacy and get another ring because he doesn't need money?! Its actually the complete opposite, of course his goal is to get the ring but also another big part of Zo returning is because he wants to give back to this team and city that he has so much love for, and he wants to defend that title with his teamates, instead of leaving. < Zo said it himself, why are you denying that?

Also, sort of off topic but Huevonkiller, why do you hate the Heat so much? Don't you live in Miami?

After getting paid 17 million dollars for only playing 13 games in Miami in 2001, then 21 million for 0 games in 2003, I think he owed you guys for that. I do think he is coming back for a ring. You're the defending champs and will have almost the same roster next year. If you had lost too many pieces in the off season, he'd probably have retired. He's a Veteran that has left the Heat before in order to pursue a ring.

Yes I live in Miami and I love this city. I love the NBA too, just not the Heat. Certain people don't get criticized on the Heat for doing things, certain other players do in LA. Philosophical differences really.

I wouldn't consider it selfish, more like blessed to know you can be happy doing the things you love with the people you love without money being a deciding factor.

Zo turned down the money because he wants to be part of a championship team and coincidently it's in the city where he has a great relationship with the people.

The second part of your post is very true, although Zo should come back to the Heat whether or not they have a good roster next year, since he already has a ring, unless he decided to retire.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Miami Flash City:</div><div class="quote_post">Shaq gets his playing time, thats not a problem. Plus Shaq needs his rests, we're just saying that Zo is the perfect man to back him up and he can help contribute alot everytime hes on the floor. No one every mentioned starting Zo over Shaq...</div>

Zo comes in for Shaq... For Zo to get more minutes, Shaq has to lose some right? [IMG] Who said Zo should start over Shaq? That won't happen. Shaq avg. 30 mpg. last season while Zo avg. 20 mpg., I think that's balanced enough.

That's awesome to see how he turned down offers from San Antonio and I'm sure another great team like Phoenix to stay. He's got so much love for the city that I'm esatic to see him back. About the way he left after 2002, he saw that the Heat weren't going anywhere that year and Pat riley let him go after a title. I don't think he screwed Miami, the situation at that point in time in something that you have to take into consideration. Net's fans, be glad Zo asked to be traded because without him you wouldn't have traded for VC, and without VC you guys wouldn't even be in the playoffs.

I don't think he screwed Miami either, he needed a ring, that's normal that he wanted to leave (he didn't want to hear anymore of those obnoxious "you don't have a ring yet" complaints) . Yes it was a self-serving move, but there isn't anything wrong with that (due to his situation at the time, etc.). However I don't believe he sacrificed much in turning down those two deals with the Spurs and Suns this year. The Heat lead him to his first championship and have given him ridiculous amounts of money(see above)/love. He owed the Heat loyalty this year under the different circumstances.
